Review: Kindle version has typos - Kindle version has weird typos. Oz is consistently O. Axe has become ace. I don’t think there are any illustrations included which is also disappointing. Kindle edition full of ridiculous typos, e.g. "O" instead of "Oz"
The Kindle edition is full of typos that ruin the story, for example consistently calling the wizard "O" instead of "Oz". Other examples: - p. 31: One of the big trees had been partly chopped through, and standing beside it, with an uplifted ace [should be axe] in his hands. [All through the book, the Woodman uses an "ace" instead of an "axe"] - p. 52: he was so happy that he hugged them all, even the Lion and Toto; and as they walked along he sang “Clitoridectomy!” [what on earth? It's supposed to be “Tol-de-ri-de-oh”!] at every step. - p. 69: “Please make yourselves comfortable while I go to the door of the Throne Room and tell O you are here.” [O?? Every child knows the wizard's name is Oz]

This edition is not good and I am sorry I bought it!
I love this book but the edition is terrible. It has ace for axe and O for Oz, and a very disgusting exclamation from the Scarecrow after he is rescued from the river. Buy something else!

Scam offering
This is a scam product and should not be listed on the Amazon site. “Wizard of O” no illustrations. Completely bogus.

Kindle version is bad
Kindle version is bad. Most instances of ”Oz" are replaced with just ”O". Of course, there's nothing wrong with "The Great and Powerful O", but it is NOT what Baum was writing about.

Errors make this not suitable for children.
The Kindle edition of this book is awful: on page 52, for example, the scarecrow is so overjoyed about being returned to his friends, it reads “… he sang ‘clitoridectomy!’ At every step, he felt so gay.” Throughout it refers to the “great O” not Oz. Hopefully this is a case of automated spellcheck that was never proof-read. Authenticity is shot: no trust in this version.

Bad Kindle Version
The Kindle version of this book has typos (“O” instead of “Oz”) and it does not have the original drawings.

After watching a programme about the wizard of Oz i decided to read the book as an adult. It was darker than the film and it’s a shame so many parts of the book were not reflected in thespian film as it would have been altogether a different vibe but not as overtop and flamboyant as the film. I highly recommend this book for adults and children
