At a fraction the cost of a name brand electric kettle, this is a great value. It works great, has a good capacity, and zero issues thus far. Boil speed seems fine and appropriate for something with this level of current draw (don't have a point of comparison), and is so much more convenient (and efficient) than using the kitchen stove and having to keep a watch out. For getting a single mug of hot water, the microwave is still faster - but if I know I'm going to need several cups worth over 15-20 minutes, this is great.

This replaced a .6L plastic (no inner steel wall) kettle so it's much bigger around but I measured first to make sure it would fit on my limited counter space and it's fine. I mainly used the old one for Cup Noodles and the occasional instant oatmeal, so 1/2 - 3/4 cup and this new one holds way more than that. The kettle is attractive and seems well-made. The lid is hinged on the handle side and the opening is pretty large,, making it easy to get a brush inside for cleaning if needed. One drawback, it's that the spout is both pretty small and, because the pot slopes in towards the top, you're really tipping it forward to pour the water out. The on switch shuts off when the water boils but it reaches a pretty rolling boil before it does so. Another drawback, of course, is that it's glass, so it's scalding hot when the water boils. you fingers are protected by the wide plastic strip but an inadvertent brush will be quite painful. As for performance, it boils water really, really fast, much faster then the old one, most likely due to the much larger heating area. Seeing the water boiling inside is pretty interesting, too. As long as it doesn't catch fire and burn the house down, which some Amazon Basics have been known to do, I'll be satisfied and can heartily recommend this kettle.

Great kettle at a great price. Clean esthetics, blue LED is a nice touch. Heats up much quicker then my old kettle. Screen over spout for any particles which my last kettle didn't have.

Crazy pleased with this new inexpensive purchase. Light weight. Boils fast, and thoroughly. Max fill (1 litre) fills my French press exactly. 1/4 full does one cup of tea. Something about the fully transparent pot is SO much better than peering at a little slit water line. And you can SEE if it's actually clean or scaly. It is just loud enough for me to hear it turn off from the other room, which I want. Being glass, it might not keep the water hot very long after it turns off, but I always make it right away anyway - so no down side. I will always buy glass going forward - and this unit again, if it lasts.

Yo no considero que le doy un uso fuerte. Generalmente la uso una vez al día por las mañanas para calentar 1.25 litros y ocasionalmente al medio día. Esto no representa un uso intenso. Entonces, veremos cuánto dura y regresaré a actualizar esta nota que escribo el 28 de agosto de 2024. Mientras tanto, sí recomiendo comprarla ya que es un producto de calidad superior en su rango de precio. Espero resulte útil.
