I’m really happy with this kettle. The design is beautiful and looks great on the stovetop — the black and gold finish gives it a really classy look. It heats water quickly, the whistle is loud enough to hear without being annoying, and the handle stays comfortable to hold. When I first received the kettle there was a small issue with the lid. I contacted customer service and they were incredibly responsive. They replied quickly and immediately corrected the issue without any hassle. It’s always reassuring when a company stands behind their product and takes care of customers like that. Overall, this is a high-quality kettle that works great and looks fantastic in the kitchen. The excellent customer service made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend it.

I’ve been using the SUSTEAS Stove Top Whistling Tea Kettle – 2.64 Quart Stainless Steel for a few weeks now, and it’s quickly become part of my daily routine. The stainless steel feels solid and high-quality, and the whistle is loud enough to hear from another room without being annoying. I especially appreciate the cool-touch ergonomic handle—it makes pouring safe and comfortable. The included silicone pinch mitt is a thoughtful bonus and actually useful. I love this red kettle! The color closely matches my Lodge dutch oven and looks great on my stove! Loud whistle. Downside is the lid fits so tightly I have trouble opening it with my arthritic hands. The knob on lid is tall with not much clearance to the handle, so is cumbersome to open if you don't have strength in your hands.

Kettle makes strange noises as it heats up, I assume from expansion due to heat. Also seems to come to a boil, but doesn't whistle for quite some time after, if at all. Edit: They have offered a full refund.

This Silver Whistling Tea Kettle arrived in pristine condition. The stainless steel was so shiny it was difficult to take a photo without my reflection in it. Instructions do not include information on cleaning before the first use so I washed and rinsed it well several times with water and dish detergent. The base of the tea kettle completely covers the 6.5" back burner on my electric stovetop. I did not find that the black part of the handle is hot to the touch but the stainless steel part is. A Silicone Gripper is included to avoid burning your hand. I find it easy to just hold the kettle by the black part of the handle. Inside the tea kettle is stainless steel. I chose this because my previous tea kettle had a dark finish inside which flaked and I had to throw it away as the flakes were getting in my tea. I filled the kettle about half way since I only wanted one cup of tea and did not want to wait for 2 liters to boil. It took a while to heat up because I used medium low heat as suggested in the instructions. For my next cups I used medium and after that closer to high heat. High heat did not affect the finish on my tea kettle. Perhaps because the outside is stainless steel (not one of the colors offered) and also the base of the tea kettle fully covers my burner. So now I feel confident to heat it on high. The whistle was loud (even though I filled it only half way) and I was able to hear it in the farthest room of my house. The Silver Version of the Tea Kettle does not have a black stripe down the front as the photo might lead you to believe. I think that is just a reflection of the knob on the cover. This Stainless Steel Tea Kettle is much more attractive in my kitchen than on the website. The photo on the website made me think it was not a shiny finish. I'm glad I took the chance and purchased it.

I love this tea kettle! I use it on my Samsung induction range. I put as much or as little water in it as I want, set the induction unit on as high as it goes. After awhile is it whistling like crazy! Very loud! The handle doesn't get hot. Other reviews and the instructions warned about too little water and too high heat but I expect that was for gas ranges. The flames probably warp up the sides and get everything too hot. But with the induction range, that doesn't happen.

Had to get a new tea kettle, my old one just plain wore out. Had a hard time picking a new one but decided on this one because of its reviews. It is much bigger than my old one, which I would have bought again but the sellers have decided to scalp people on the price (Revere ware, copper bottom) lasted years. Back to this one, it's big, 3 quarts. I do want to address some of the bad reviews, no whistle, boiling out the spout...you filled the kettle to full. Can you whistle with a mouth full? I don't think so. Also the color fading/changing...what did you expect, it's paint exposed to high heat inside and out. Forget about...it's so pretty, it's so cool. Do you want a useful appliance or a pretty decoration? Update, thought the kettle was to big for me to handle, then I learned how. Push the knob/lever/button what ever you want to call it to open the spout before you ever picking it up. Then slide your hand back to the black area and pour. This keeps you from getting burnt from the hot silver area and gives a better pouring angle. I was standing on my tip toes just to pour a cup of hot water, now it's just easy peasy. Update, just a couple of weeks later, sending back. Starting to rust in the bottom, maybe a fluke but not willing to buy this brand again.

I was amased at the quality of this kettle! It is gorgeous; a beautiful colour, quite heavy and very good quallity. The bottom is a triple layer of stainless steel, so it holds up to heat. It works well; stays shiny, washes well and is easy to clean. It looks very good w/ any decor and it's a pretty colour. For about $80., which is mid price for a good tea kettle, you can't go wrong. No need to spend over $100. for a good stove top like this. We're British and love our tea. We don't use electric kettles or microwaves to make tea! This one is perfect!! Our last one got chipped after 5 years, so gave it away.
