Nice refractory motar at a good price!! Only thing I caution against is using it on a very hot & humid day. I do understand that the directions caution you against using it in that type of weather and does not recommend it, but we gave it a shot anyways cuz we were kinda on a time frame to get a specific job done. It ended up working out pretty well, but I recommend if you do like we did and use this product in the hot weather, that you keep the hose or a bucket of water close by to prevent motar setting up to quickly!! We learned quickly to keep adding a little bit of water and it keeps the motar smooth & workable. This mortar will definitely set up quickly in the heat. Functionality: Works very well & easy to use when mixed well and kept moist.

Worked better than expected. Mixed with the exact amount of water and the mortar laid smoothly. Have not yet built a fire so not sure how it will hold up, but seemed to have cured well.

Perfect great product!

1. The bucket opens like just about any 5 gallon paint bucket. So ignore every review complaining about it. 2. Most refractory mortars are grey and I needed to color this to match the beige brick on a project so I really appreciate being able to purchase a larger quantity of white mortar for a reasonable price. 3. The mortar works great and mixes up like any other professional grade refractory mortar. In summary: if you need a light colored refractory mortar this is a good one.

Easy to work with but runnier than the hand mixed formula - needed to add dry mix for under the cap and in between the 12 fire pit casts. Hooked up a heater and insulation panels for 2 fall nights and Voila - it was ready for Smores and campfire night on the 3rd night

Didn't know till I read label on container that this may cause cancer!Wore a mask n gloves during install for protection and a prayer.
