I tend to get overstimulated, but this machine does not bother me at all. It creates this soft white-noise type of sound and drowns out the noises from my neighbors (they have some machine hooked up to our shared wall that creates this humming/vibrating sound) and the garbage truck in the morning doesn’t bother me anymore. I purchased it a little ahead of the summer season, but my apartment tends to get pretty warm and it has already been a huge help. It keeps the air fresh in my apt unit as well and overall seemed to improve the air quality. Haven’t figured out all the functions since there appears to be an app that connects to it. Will update once I get to it! I live in a studio apartment that’s around the 350 sq ft mark in the Midwest.

8000 BTU LG in window air conditioner. This air conditioner was very heavy at 70 pounds and weirdly very very deep, most air conditioners that I've had have been between 17 and 19 inches deep this air conditioner I believe is about 24. I would suggest putting it on an air conditioning bracket. The first thing I like about this air conditioner is the front is very modern and sleek and flat, there are many features fan speeds sleep mode everything that you would want in an air conditioner. The best part is, when on fan speed one, in economy mode I can't hear it at all, when you crank the fan speed up to three you can hear it, but just barely. I love the sleep mode.

When I read the measurements I didn't think about how far this air conditioner would stick out beyond the window. It needed an extra piece of equipment: a brace to make sure the a/c wouldn't fall to the ground. I asked my contractor to install it, and it took a couple of hours. However, now that it is installed, I appreciate that it is pretty quiet.

Does not get cold Very expensive to not work. My room is only 150sqft

I have a lot of equipment in my studio room that puts off heat. The main HVAC was unable to keep the room cool. The LG 8000 BTU was a perfect solution at a very reasonable cost.

This is the second LG window air conditioner I've purchased and these are extremely high quality units. They are very quiet and have no problem cooling our guest bedroom.

This unit was fairly easy to install (especially if you have a second person to help you) and I'm super happy with it. I got this to replace a portable AC that was so loud you couldn't watch TV in the same room and the change is incredible. At low fan speed on energy saver mode, this unit is quieter than my refrigerator- you can barely hear it. Even at higher speeds it just sounds like you have a box fan on in the room as opposed to an air conditioner. And it cools very quickly. I cannot recommend this enough!

My parents bought this for their mobile home. It is large, but its super quiet. Does NOT leak inside, and cools their whole kitchen and living room no problem! I would definitely purchase again. I bought myself a midea ac window unit, and man, i wish i had bought this lg instead.
