6W LED Ceiling Light D9.5cm 3000K Warm White, 540LM Dustproof Indoor Round Ceiling Lamp for Hallway Kitchen Balcony

Very bright and quite thin but the connector on the back holds it off the ceiling unless you make quite a few holes (bigger that the typical pendant light fitting) so it doesn't flush mount It comes with two wires (live and neutral) which means it will not be direct replacement for most ceiling switched lights. These typically have a rose that contain wiring points to run the circuit to a wall switch and back. There isn't an appropriate connector to do this You need a connector with 3 sections 1 to connect the neutral to the lamp's neutral, one to connect the mains live to a wire to your wall switch and one to connect the return from the wall switch to the lamp's live. (and if your lamp is part of set there may be even more wires running in and out) (Warning: in this common design there are live connections in the light fitting (rose) even when the light is turned off at the wall (the live from the mains is still connected so isolate at the fuse box - if you are on your own leave the light on, then go switch the power off and check the light went out!). I suppose they might have had a suitable connector inside the white box but it didn't look big enough and lifting it slightly it didn't look like there was one but I didn't want to risk breaking the cover by removing it. So you will need some additional connectors in order to make replace the typical light hanging from a ceiling.

Was a bit apprehensive when I first received the light due to small size but once fiited my fears were gone.. Very easy to install. Light output is great from such a small unit. I like the idea of fitting the base and having the light unit slide onto it, which makes cleaning a doddle if necassary. Also when decorating/painting you can quickly remove the light unit to paint the ceiling/wall (if wall mounted). I shall certainly buy some more of these. Ideal in small areas that need a good light i.e. Cupboards, toilets, top of stairs/landing, utility room etc.

*I bought the 13W 3000K version but this review probably applies to all variants* The light spread, colour and brightness are as expected - I fitted this in a small landing approx 2.5m x 1m and it gives enough light without blinding you. I didn't want it too bright so am happy. I am likely to buy more in future, notwithstanding the following... Warning - the photos are deceiving, and there are no fitting instructions. The connection 'lump' sticks out from the main body of the light by approx 15mm, so if you screw this directly to your chosen surface, the actual light will float (see pic where I am holding the light). My solution was to cut a hole in the ceiling, pre-fit some long screws into the holes, assemble the 2 parts of the light and then use a wooden brace and suitable nuts to hold the whole lot up to the ceiling. The result is a flush-fitting light as per the official photos. Note that the supplied flexible cable is very short and soldered into the connection 'lump', so you are basically forced to use it.

These lights are very minimalistic & simplistic, EXTREMELY quick & easy to fit & Excellent value for money. My only gripe is that I wish I had ordered the DAYLIGHT version (brighter white) for my hallway, though that's obviously my mistake. I'm going to replace most lights in my house with these, particularly because they are so very easy to install & give of great NATURAL feeling light

I intended to replace a standard ceiling rose with this light and expected that it would be easy to attach to the existing bracket - it is not. It would be a good solution for a new light source but it's not great as retro-fit or replacement.

This was bought as a replacement for an old wall fitting that was in a walk in pantry. As we are trying to replace our light fixtures with LED products this was worth a try. Amazed at how slim it was and how bright the lighting is in the pantry. It was so impressive that we bought another to replace a fluorescent tube at the front door of the garage.

This was bought for a lobby area that gets no natural light and is quite small, so we wanted a small, bright light fitting and this delivers. It’s really bright and fits nice and flush to the ceiling so it’s unobtrusive. A bargain, easy to fit, and does exactly what we need it to do.

They keep going faulty and don’t last for long, if your happy to keep replacing these every few weeks then these are perfect. I originally purchased 6w smaller ones in 6000k but they have now sold out so I have one 6 W 6000k one 6w 3300k and this 13w larger one in the same room which looks odd. Very easy to install. It is a waste of money but I’m now stuck untill I find a suitable replacement
