I am constantly gathering content for my 2 YouTube channels. I use action cameras like GOPRO and iPhone when I'm recording. Trying to capture moments in time can be stressful so I love having the right piece of kit to make things go smoothly. The versality of this for the price is amazing. I've felt like I wanted to buy another one just because it worked so well but there is nothing wrong with what I have. It is very versatile. When attending a major event in Las Vegas I mounted this to a telescoping selfie stick that has a tripod base. I mounted an action camera and iPhone on it and used a tube mount to attach another action camera. The stability of the ergonomic grip is amazing. When I held it off the ground it was self leveling. It fit 2 cameras and smart phone with so many ways to configure the adjustment capability I could not beat this rig.

OMG I love this setup for my Sony FDR X-3000! I use my action cam to record my travels and I have been looking for the perfect vlog setup that is sturdy, cheap, and not awkward to use. I did not want to buy the shooting grip sold by Sony as I find it to be too expensive costing about $40++. The camera itself was already expensive plus I had to buy the lens protector which is why I felt very hesitant in spending more money for the camera. But I am very happy I found this guy right here. Not only that I find it to be cheaper (about half the cost of sony shooting grip!), it also feels very sturdy, and much more functional. When I first got it, I was surprised that it came in a little box that is probably a 5x5 or 6x6. It was tiny I couldn’t believe it at first. I was expecting for a tall box because of how it looks like in the picture here in amazon. Anyway, it being small is much better because like I mentioned I use my action cam for recording my travels and this just means that it will be easier to pack and won’t take up too much space! With this setup, I can have my action cam attached, the remote, and an extra light or an external mic if I need them! Even sony shooting grip does not have that! This product is almost perfect for me. It is excellent, stylistic, and looks professional. I used it yesterday for the first time in the playground during my kid's birthday party. I faced two minor issues using the item. 1. The phone camera catches the side of the action camera in all my long shots. 2. The action camera holder screw is not tight enough. For the first issue, I tried to slide the phone on the mount as far left as possible so that it could not picture the action camera set in the front. All my photos taken by phone (long shots) show the action camera on its right side (Picture attached). Though I can quickly fix the images in post-production, fixing video footage is difficult. My second issue with the unit is that the screw doesn't hold the action camera tightly enough on its post. With little push/ accidental touch, the action camera shifts up or down. However, without unintentional touch, the action camera stays in its position. For the price point, this is 100% perfect. Overall, I am happy with the product.

I do mostly Scuba diving videos. But occasionally I include topside video and prefer to use my phone's camera for this vs my GoPro. I have yet to find a "selfie stick" that I like, they're typically, flimsy and unbalanced and hand holding it makes me nervous as I have dropped my phones countless times. With this pistol grip I have so much better control over the camera, and the ability to add my GoPro is an added bonus. The camera mount rotates so you can catch that perfect angle, and the screw down grip feels much more secure than the spring loaded style I've tried before. I'm always looking for ways to improve shots or ways to mount cameras, and this is a great tool to add to your kit. I also like the fact that they use standard tripod threads for the phone/camera connector and grip. It makes switching from the pistol grip to my tripod that much easier. Two thumbs way up on this one!
