Good bike storage solution; check out the notes
I have six bikes hanging from these in my garage. They range from an old steel mountain bike to a woman's hybrid to a modern carbon mountain bike to a kid's bike. The hooks easily accommodate all of them. I'm a big fan of these also since I was already using the Gladiator system so this fit in nicely with what I already had. As our stable grew, we were having more trouble finding room for the bikes and this was a good solution.A few notes when using them:1. Make sure the hook is resting on the inside of the wheel only when you hang your bike. You don't want it pressing up against and possibly bending a spoke.2. If you're putting up new Gladiator boards that these fit into, do two rows, one over the other, separated by two or three feet. This will allow you to hang more bikes and closer together on the same length of wall. If you only have one row, then you're limited by the handlebars as to how many bikes you can put on. With two rows, you can get another bike in between since they're hanging at two different levels.3. When you put the Gladiator boards on the wall, try not to have an end too far away from where it was screwed into a stud. Many bikes, especially mountain bikes, are in the 20-30 pound territory and if the end of the board is too far away from the stud point, the board will pull away from the wall and you can't hang your bike there. Basically, it will limit your options for where you can hang your bikes.4. If you have shocks, they might leak when hung like this. Just watch for fluid leaking. We haven't had this problem with the four bikes that have shocks, but I've read where others have had trouble with this.5. If you have hydraulic brakes, some have reported air getting into the brake lines when the bikes are hung. We just put on little bungie cords to gently compress the brake levers after we hang them to keep this from happening.

Okay for kids bikes, but not $$$ bikes.
I am NOT in love with this bike hook as most other reviewers are. It is adequate for a kid's bike but it did not keep my Specialized road bike comfortably in place. Specifically, my bike would twist on the hook if slightly jostled and I am concerned that my rim would be damaged. I will buy another one of these basic bike hooks for winter storage of a second kid's bike. I do, however, love the Deep Hook for hanging my road bike alongside the wall! Note that I have three garage walls, each covered with multiple rows of Gladiator tracks, dozens of hooks, and multiple cabinets and shelves. Yes, I am addicted to this system, but not this hook.

Working nicely for hanging bikes
This is working just fine for hanging bikes in the garage. Can sometimes be a little maneuvering required to get the tire/spokes off but its really not difficult and the hook stays on the wall with no issues. If you have trouble lifting a bike (weight) you'll have trouble with these hooks

Pretty handy - 2 road wheels on one hook
UPDATED 2013. I have various GarageWorks hooks hanging on GearWall panels installed in my garage, and all the hooks have been good. I found that the Vertical Bike hook, other than holding a bike from it's wheel, can hold 2 road (700x23) wheels - just the wheels, (but only one 26" mountain wheel). I now own 3 or 4 of these to hold wheels, a small walking bike for my kids and camping gear as the weight rating allows me to hang stuff up to 30 lbs.

Great bike hook!
These things are beasts! I currently have 4 bikes hanging on the wall using these and they're not budging. I'm using these with the Gladiator Wall channeling and while simple in design, they work really well.We have 2 road bikes (16-20 lbs), a mountain bike (55 lbs) and a BMX style bike and these hooks adapt easily to each wheel and have no issue with slippage or movement.I highly recommend these and have all my neighbors adding them to their garages as well.

Excellent bike hooks!
I have the gladiator railings all around my garage with various items hanging. They give the garage a very clean look and I can't say enough about them! These bike hooks held right up for my twins bikes, but be careful of the walls if you don't want them scuffed. I cut a nice piece of cardboard for now and lined them up with the tires to prevent that.

Worked great
I bought the geartrack system and a couple of these hooks to get my kid's bikes off the garage floor. These worked great and were very sturdy. I have this Gladiator geartrack up and the Rubbermaid Fastttrack but i didn't feel like the Rubbermaid fasttrack would be very sturdy although it is nice stuff, just not a nice as the Gladiator.

Great attachment!
Easy to slide into the gear track and holds my bike up! Cheaper on here too

Need Channels or Panels
I bought two. I didn't know this products need Channels or Panels. They look nice when the bikes are hanging on the wall. They move when I take and hung the bikes. Not easy for me.
