Great characters Enjoyed the book alot. Book catches your interest on page one Great author. Loved his Nick character Review: All for a buck - I have read all of Mr Finder’s books I believe. I can’t remember a writer who can develop a character with such detail or a location or a situation. The stories are totally compelling. Nick is not always believable but worth the stretch. The book arrived in good condition
House on Fire was originally due yesterday, then it was due today by USPS but it arrived by USPS a few minutes ago, which was odd as our mail came hours ago, but I'm very pleased to have it, and in great condition.,

Yay, back to excellence
Based very much on the Sackler family, of OxyContin fame, Joseph Finder starts from near absolute truth (likely borrowed rather literally from EMPIRE OF PAIN) and then uses one side of the real family to create a slightly less horrendous version in which to set his corporate/family espionage tale. He spins quite a tale, though again, his mind is boggled by pretty women who have more to them than their bodies and what's visible. Much of a dog as he is, I will keep reading Nick Heller if there are more to come. This book is leaps and bounds better than GUILTY MINDS and hopefully Nick will come back into all of our lives sooner rather than later.

Another interesting thriller
Finder became a household name with his corporate thrillers. With this latest in his series about private investigator Nick Heller he returns to the corporate thriller genre. Nice, quick read, but unfortunately somewhat predictable.

You Must Read House On Fire!!!
House on Fire was an excellent read!!! Anything written by Joseph Finder is well worth reading. This book was extremely suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. Nick Heller is a great character and I hope there are many more books planned for him. I actually just hope Mr. Finder is busy writing something right now because he is right at the top of my very favorite authors!!!

Good Book
House on Fire was a good book but the Nick Heller character and activities were similar to previous books where he is always using hi tech means to secretly get into places to find things. Only the story and mystery changes.

He writes brilliantly

Another excellent book from Joseph Finder. The subject matter is very relevant to issues in the modern world of drug dependency and dominant multinational companies. The book is full of action and has constant twists and turns with many sub-plots, most notably the involvement off stage of Heller's imprisoned father. With many possible suspects and clues that pointed to each from time to time, you are kept guessing as to the person who murdered Maggie right to the end.

I love Thrillers by Joseph Finder. They give me a very good reading time: Nice plots, good twists and I very much love private investigayor Nick Heller. Cannot wait for the next thriller to be published!

There’s a very good reason why Joseph Finder is among my favorite thriller authors. House On Fire epitomizes everything that makes his books must reading for me. Ex-soldier turned private detective Nick Heller is a multi-faceted character you can’t help but root for, the supporting cast is outstanding, and even the antagonists are well fleshed out. The author keeps us guessing about who may be or may not be Nick’s allies as he is pulled deeper and deeper into the myriad disfunctions of the Kimball family. The plot of the story, which centers around the opioid epidemic and the companies that fuel it, is a twisty, turny delight. The exhaustive research Finder puts into his novels shines through here, making House on Fire not only a highly enjoyable read, but also a primer on the subject at the heart of the story. The resolution packs a punch and a couple of late surprises I didn’t see coming. Finder has outdone himself yet again.

He had me with Paranoia and the rest is history. For a long time I was disappointed that it was so hard to get his ebooks in Australia but that seems to be sorted now.
