KnitIQ Blocking Mats Set

I brought these blocking boards in May 2019 (over 4 years ago) and they are still going strong. What do I like about them? * They are sturdy and thick so the T pins don’t damage the table below and I can move them whilst my ‘project’ is pinned out. * They clip in place easily and however I join them the guide lines are always just so. * I’ve found the guide lines are perfect when straight lines are essential ie:- knitted squares, wall art, felting squares, etc (see photos) * Well made, after 4 years of use some of the blocks look a bit ‘pin cushiony’ in places, that said, they still hold the item firmly in place. * Easily stored in a clear zipped bag provided. I note now a canvas storage bag is available which I think I will treat myself to. When I brought them I did think twice as I had to pay shipping and import fees from USA (that virtually doubled the cost). Really pleased I did, money well spent - highly recommended.

Nice and thick boards which lock together easily and easy to take apart again. They are a great size to work together for larger pieces of garments or if making baby things I can leave apart for cardigan parts and stack ontop of each other. The pins that come with them are easy to use and hold everything securely. Easy to use and pack away again. I'm going to make a new case for them because I'm not sure how long the plastic will last on the case because I'll be transporting them in my car when going to stay with family quite often.

Having made my first crochet baby blanket I was not happy with the way the finish looked so I investigated blocking mats and bought these even though I thought they were a little expensive. I pinned my blanket to it and the useful lines made sure I got it the right shape, I'm impressed with the way it has turned out the pins were really easy to handle with my arthritic hands although the lid was broken on the box. The storage bag will keep them all together. A really worth while purchase, well made and I should think very durable. I would throughly recommend them to anyone

I am pleased with the blocking mats but they are much larger than I imagined. Be sure to check the size. Otherwise, they are very good and do the job easily and well.

I think this a brilliant system. Each block is 12 inches - sorry I am not good with cm but I believe that is about 30cms? Locked together 3 square feet. Pins come with it and I like the fact that they are closed at the top, no snagging items. An additional 3 squares can be bought separately if required. I am unlikely to need them but very handy for really long items or extra wide. They come in a see through case with zip. I am very pleased with my purchased . Would highly recommend for knitters and crocheters, etc.

Second pack of these that I have bought to accommodate a large piece of knitting. As before, the boards are sturdy, easy to put together and dismantle, with a generous amount of T pins included. The squared surface is very useful for achieving the required dimensions. I can recommend them.

Ordered 3 sets because I knit a lot of very large shawls. Used old foam blocks for years that were different shapes and it used to take ages to lay them out plus they took up a lot of storage room. The Knitiq blocks click together quickly and once a garment is pinned out I can move the whole thing, even stand it upright against a wall and start blocking another piece. Love them and I wish I’d bought them years ago. I have used them nearly every day since I got them and my huge stash of unblocked items has been turned into wearable items. When not in use the 3 sets will fit into a space 12x12x27 inches where my old foam filled 2 of the big striped laundry bags. Love,love, them.

Great blocking mats. Love the grids

Years ago I had the KnitPicks brand blocking mats and have moved several times since then and have lost that set. I ordered these hoping they would be a decent replacement. These are amazing! I love the grid pattern, it really helps me keep my blankets and order projects 'square' and to the correct sizes. The KnitPicks ones I had from years ago didn't have that. Also, these were much thicker and felt sturdier. I loved my KnitPicks ones I had years ago but these ones are giving them a run for their money - at least from me! I love them so much that I actually ordered a second set so I have plenty for my larger projects too!! I have read some reviews where people had issues with the blue coloring from the grid pattern bleeding onto their projects, but I haven't had that issue. I primarily do steam blocking. If I have any issues with this in the future I will update my review as necessary. Also - they come with a box of t-pins! I'm sure that's mentioned in the product description somewhere but it was a nice little surprise. Most of the other blocking mats require you to order those extra. I'm very satisfied with these and would definitely order these again and again if I need more!!

Buoni i blocchi che si incastrano facilmente e hanno una costruzione che sembra abbastanza di qualità. Il prezzo non è sicuramente basso. Calcolare che per uno scialle grande una scatola sola non è abbastanza per stenderlo in tutta la lunghezza.

These blocking mats are perfect. The foam is thick, firm, and holds pins securely without poking through like those cheap mats from the dollar store. I love that I have a zippered case to store them in. The interlocking pieces fit together nicely and stay flat, which makes it easy to block sweaters. I also like the grid lines, they make it simple to measure and keep my edges straight. Everything dries evenly and looks so professional afterward. I highly recommend!
