Kaytee Clean & Cozy White Paper Bedding, Made for Small Animals, 85 Liters

We’ve been using this for our son’s hamster for almost 2 years and it’s really good for him. It’s compacted so there’s more once you pull it out and apart.

This bedding is so soft and perfect for our bunnies! Each time I change their potty one of our buns lays in it and sleeps, lol! It keeps the smell away for a few days until I change their potty.

One of the good products that Kaytee carries (there aren’t a lot tbh). My hamster went from some rougher bedding and when she stepped into this it was like she was walking on clouds. She immediately pranced around and then took a deep dive into the bedding and burrowed. She had never burrowed like that before! This bedding seems to hold a burrow rather well, especially if I add in a small amount of soft orchard grass in layers. The other positive is that it has no scent (scented bedding is horrible for hamsters! They have a strong sense of smell and essential oils and scented items can throw it off and irritate their respiratory systems) but still keeps odors at bay. It is also pure white so you can easily see their pee spots and spot clean. It comes VERY compacted-so when it says it will expand 3x it’s size they are telling the truth. You just need to break it up and fluff it when taking it out.

A lot of people have said that the largest bag comes with different material than the smaller bags, so we were a bit worried about whether or not this bedding would be the same as the smaller bags that we had recently tried. Well, we ordered the 85 L bag, and it is quite the same soft, fluffy material that was in the 49 L bag! Very happy with it, our stinky boy loves it much better than the pine shavings we normally use for his cage. Just like promised, it wasn't dusty at all, and it does have a little bit of a weird smell, but I've found that that's just how paper bedding normally is (Besides, the smell of guinea pigs usually overpowers that). Definitely worth the buy, will most likely continue to buy in the future!

I was a little skeptical about ordering hamster bedding off of Amazon, but I am very pleased! Although it is not as white as previous batches, I find that it is pretty good and I’ve been using this brand for quite a while, and I still enjoy! It is quite absorbent, doesn’t grow bacteria for quite a while, is quite fluffy and soft, and definitely holds Burrows well! Also, definitely love the price, I usually get the smaller size, but I splurged for the bigger one and it’s definitely worth it because I just paid eight dollars more and I got almost twice the amount!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The price and quality are a match. I use this product almost every day. My Guinea Pig "Speedy" approves. Works well: It's absorbent and easy to clean up. Softness: Very soft. My Guinea Pig will often lay down after the daily cage cleaning and he just about goes to sleep in only a few minutes.

This bedding is very soft and easy to clean. It looks very fluffy and our ferrets really enjoyed this product. Easy to use, just pull apart with hands and it expands. Neutral smell and compact size for packaging and storing.
