Great product for the price
Firstly, I would have to say that the ideal user for this product is someone who spends a lot of time either playing video games or doing work on a screen. I personally use this product to play xbox one, but it would also be great for everyday work or even a dual monitor setup. If you play video games casually or don't spend very much time on a computer, then this monitor might not be worth the purchase. Overall this really is a fantastic product for the price. Now I'll talk about a few positives. The colors and picture are fantastic, and the fact that it has external speakers is a big plus because a lot of monitors don't. I've never had any significant problems with this monitor after owning it for a bit over a year and half. The frame rate and the quality of picture are surprisingly high. I used to have a problem playing on big television screens because there would be a delay in my reaction time that gave me a disadvantage when playing online. With this BenQ, that problem goes away entirely. I would strongly recommend this monitor to you if you are wanting to use this for gaming or for work on a computer. Next, a few small negatives. The first negative is the speakers, which was actually one of my positives as well. It's true that it is a plus that this monitor actually has speakers, however they are just a little bit quiet. If you want to use this monitor for gaming and require extremely high quality sound, these speakers might not provide the quality of sound and volume capacity that you are looking for. If you fall into this category and are purchasing this monitor, I would recommend also getting some sort of gaming headset to route your game sound to, which plenty of gamers already own anyway. This product would pretty much be the perfect monitor if it was capable of producing some louder and higher quality sound. One other small thing that would make this better is moving the menu buttons to an easier to locate area or including a remote with the monitor. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this monitor's impressive performance given the fact that its price is significantly lower than many other competitors or even other BenQ models. If you're looking for a cheap monitor that can perform all of the tasks that you need it to do with no major issues, then look no further. You won't regret it!

and I have loved it since the moment that I cut open the ...
Austin Cunningham’s insight on the BenQ GL2460HM After reading my review of the gaming monitor, I believe that every video game player that is also looking for a fast, reliable, and high definition monitor will lean towards this monitor. Now everyone has computers so just owning one monitor does now make me an expert. I had two ACER monitors before this and now that I have this gaming monitor for my middle screen, it has allowed me to realize the criteria that are important for my new monitor. My gaming monitor criteria • Eye-Stress: This is important because I frequently spend more than 8 hours on a computer at a time. • Brand Quality/Recognition: This is important as there a lot of computer monitors out there, and having one with good quality makes me feel secure. • Compatibility: The monitor being able to plug into most computers rather than needing adapters. • Speed: Less of a student need and more of a gamer need. Still important to separate monitors from one another. The Ban GL 2460HM gaming monitor comes with blue light reduction allowing gamers or students to glare at the screen without damage to their eyes, and students to be able to at least keep the stress off their eyes as they write their papers for long periods of time. Which satisfies my eye stress criteria as beforehand I myself used glasses that reduced stress and blue light. The BenQ name is also synonymous with gamers as the top choice. These are the monitors that they use at professional gaming events where millions of dollars are on the line. The brand recognition has been great as all my friends online or in person when I told them about the BenQ gaming monitor they all knew right away that I had chosen a quality choice which in electronics can always be one perilous click away from purchasing a bad device. After owning the other monitors I know that having the option of multiple connections is paramount to gamers who have multiple monitors. I also at any point may find that my graphics card may be not up to par and want to buy another. This one including HDMI, VGA, and DVI has insured it will work with almost every graphics card I could add to my computer. I chose this monitor was the BenQ TN technology that is leading the way in refresh rates for gaming monitors. With TN coming in at a blazing 1 mili-second refresh rate allowing myself and other gamers that chose this monitor to have a slight edge on all others in first person shooting video games where everything happens in mili-seconds. The only negative about the monitor which I knew about before, was that it does not have 4k resolution only the now standard 1080P. Now BenQ does make 4k models, and amazon has them starting around $580. Since this monitor was only $148, a huge $400 difference puts a huge advantage for the BenQ GL2460HM. Other than the one negative aspect everything has lived up to, and exceeded my expectations for what a gaming computer monitor could possibly be. BenQ did such good things with this monitor I do not believe I will own anything other than one of the best computer monitors on the market now.

Excellent for those sensitive to screens, excellent altogether.
I have dealt with sensitivity to screens since 2015. It turns out I can really only use TN-LCD panels without getting dizzy or feeling sick. VA and IPS panels feel to me like I'm looking at the sun even at the lowest brightness. Despite being LED backlit and not CCFL since monitors with CCFL backlighting are no longer made, this monitors does justice to eyecare. It has various low blue light modes although I use my own setting which goes further at lowering blue light and monitor color altogether. One feature that is fantastic is being able to lower the gamma of the monitor. This setting alone has done wonders where other monitors that didn't have this setting for me were intolerable. This monitor is great for the regular user as well who doesn't have sensitivity issues. TN-LCD monitors have the best response time, and this monitor also has Advanced Motion Acceleration which I leave turned off as to prevent motion sickness, however it is a great advanced feature for smooth motion when gaming. The monitor has VGA, DVI, and HDMI support. I use VGA since it is easier on my eyes than HDMI. I really respect the fact that it has support for all video signals as HDMI can be converted to Displayport. This is a high-quality monitor all-together for anyone, and for those who struggle with eye strain or dizziness from screens.

**EDIT** I bought a second one of these recently for a triple monitor setup, it's one of the better bang for the buck monitors I've used out of LG, Asus, Acer and BenQ which is why I went for it on sale ($175) instead of waiting for one of BenQ's 144hz panels to come in stock on Amazon. ---- I purchased this monitor after being thrilled with my previous BenQ monitor (GL2450), this monitor is practically the same except it differs in terms of the buttons, monitor menu's and the stand and bezel aren't as thick which makes this monitor weigh less than it's predecessor. Overall the monitor is exactly what you would expect from this price range, it's colors are decent, it seems to favor blue spectrum's and with the low blue light mode on it causes me to have noticeably less eye fatigue while gaming for extended periods of time. I haven't noticed any ghosting in video games, I've yet to smell anything that can commonly be caused by lower end plastic manufacturing and overall this monitor operates as expected under all circumstances. There is no height adjust, you cannot rotate the monitor and it comes with a VGA cable, if you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will answer them ASAP! :) - I would highly recommend this to any gamer looking for a good monitor, I've only had it for a few weeks and I expect this to last for years to come and am considering purchasing a second one so that I can run three monitors.

Saludos.

Effectiveness: 4/5 – Works as described and hasn’t failed yet over years of use. Speakers are very bad though. Price: $$$/5 – Rather average price for a 24-inch monitor but definitely cheap considering all the extras it comes with (Blue light filter, ZeroFlicker, Eco mode…). Ease of use: 4/5 – Everything is very easy to use except for navigating the built-in menu can be a hassle. Quality: 4/5 – Seems well built; the plastic is high quality. Speakers are low quality, unfortunately. Design: 4/5 – The design is good; VESA mount positioning is on point. The power cord is a decent length + isn’t too bulky. Slim & sleek profile. Packaging: 4/5 – Nothing special. The protective plastic is nice. Strengths – Effective, Lots of extras Weaknesses – Low-quality speakers Worth the money? – Yes, when it is on a lightning sale the quality for the price is pretty much unrivalled for a 1080p monitor. Summary: 4/5 - Overall, I would recommend getting this monitor. It has a price point that is pretty average for a 24-inch 1080p monitor but it has the added benefit of a bunch of premium extras like blue light filtering & ZeroFlicker technology. The monitor is effective and is very easy to use except for the built-in menu navigation can be cumbersome at times. The monitor appears to be good quality, other than the speakers. I like that the power cord is a decent length. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope it helps you!! Specs: Display Size: 24 inches | RAM: 0 GB | Weight: 4.31 Kg | Native Resolution: 1920 x 1080 | Response Time: 2 ms | Dimensions: 19.3 x 43.4 x 56.4 cm | Input Types: D-sub, DVI, HDMI | Blue Light Filter: 30 – 70% | Dynamic Contrast Ratio: 12M:1 | Eco Mode: Save up to 44% power consumed | VESA mountable | Refresh Rate: 60hz | Package includes: 1 x BenQ GL2460HM 24 Inch 1080p Gaming Monitor

UPDATE: Shipped (for free via Canada Post) back defect, received new one all within 1 week. Using the new monitor right now and it looks smooth and amazing! Crystal clear and smooth graphics. Better brightness and colour clarity than my Samsung. If I get another monitor I will definitely look to BenQ again! Note: Unlike the 1st shipment, this one had a big stamp on the outer box that says fragile, handle with care. Could that stamp have made the difference? First time a monitor arrived DEFECTIVE. Arrived at my work front desk well packaged, unlikely damaged during transport unless literally thrown like a football onto concrete floor sometime during transport. -PROBLEM: Plugged into HDMI port. Works, fortunately, but with lots (500+) of GREEN DOTS/STARS all over the screen like the white stars you see when somebody just hit you on the head hard (See photos attached). -ACTION: Put in for an exchange, will have to mail box out with monitor (free label for Canada Post), and wait for replacement product to be shipped. Will update review and rating with further experience.

This in my eyes is one of the best monitors, color accuracy can be easily perfected with the right settings. The setup i'm using it on is in a room that's dark most of the times, so I have 0 contrast and brightness and it's still plenty bright. Now, in regards to the new version I really dont like that the buttons are below the monitor. I like having vertical monitors so buttons on the side is ideal. Other than that I can't say anything about the new version since I haven't tried it. Also, idk what that thing below the bottom bezel is but idk how I feel about it either. Not only do I like vertical monitors but I also like the bottom monitor to be directly sitting on the desk (like a laptop). So yea my review is for the 2460. I've had it since 2016 and it still performs like charm, no dead pixels or anything. This monitor is so good (at least the 2460) that I bought a 4k monitor and returned it because I liked the color accuracy and overall display better on this one (plus 4k monitors have scaling issues still so they're worthless)
