Great picture clarity which adds to my enjoyment. The subtitles are important too

Probably the best movies from the Wachowski Brothers. This new box set in blu ray gives a new cinematic experience for this "classic" film. It is my personal belief that the first Matrix is, by far, the best one yet; having all three together will give you the complete history. The picture quality and the sound is outstanding. However, with the blu ray, you will watch other things, like skin imperfections or actor's spitting. You will have a great experience with this trilogy and is cheaper. If you have interest in watch Animatrix, just buy the DVD one.

This is a region-free Bluray (this world can do more of those), so it will play in any country. With that out of the way, unfortunately the next Bluray (2018) that was produced from the 4K scan of the film, and paired with the 4K release, is simply better. This (2008) release is amateurish in comparison, which resulted from the creators not directly overseeing the colour grading. Yes, this release is inferior, so buy the 2018 one. BUT GET THIS ONE ALSO! Why, if the picture is worse? Because the bonus features selection is legendary. First of all, you get the making of for every part of the trilogy, and I think there is more behind the scenes material here than anywhere else. Second, you get the music video for Sleeping Awake, one of the credits songs for Reloaded, and a song written specifically for the movie. I don't think it was ever available on the DVD releases, and it's missing on the newer Blurays. You also get the music video for Rock Is Dead by Marlyn Manson. Third, you get all the cutscenes from Enter The Matrix, the only videogame that was actually connected to the movies (events take place during Reloaded). And Fourth, and this one is the most strange, you get a selection of late 90s electronic music. Was this the music creators listened to while writing the trilogy? That is my only guess, since this bonus feature is not explained. I hope I made myself clear: if you want to WATCH the trilogy, but the 2018 release. But if you want A LOT of bonus features, buy the 2018 too. P.S. Matrix 4 was a contractual obligation, it was never planned, never intended, and it's bad on purpose.

Finally will get a chance to study this epic

I actually have the first of the series but not in Blu-Ray. My husband and I really got into the movie this time, really got into it, and decided to get the whole series. The one we chose may not have all the gimmicks that the other Blu-ray choices had but it definitely had the movies. Wow, after watching my old DVD, we went through the whole series in a weekend - unusual for us to do. Blu-ray is awesome. As usual, Amazon sent it quickly with no problems and at good prices. So many choices, it was hard to pick. We are very happy with the one we chose.

These were dvd upgrades to my vhs copies so I know they are great movies. Unfortunately Zoverstocks sent me a copy for use in the UK only and these copies will end up in the garbage since the postage for receiving and returning them will negate the refund. Even though they say to "check the region before ordering", they don't tell you what region it is. The movies themselves are reminiscent of what is happening in the world today - the reality we are shown is not the real reality. When your a mushroom being kept in the dark and fed manure (lies and distorted facts), you won't know any better unless you do your research. Think of the agents as the illuminati.

Rien de spécial à part le film mais la présentation est de qualité collecteur. Magnifique

Antologica trilogia fantascientifica dai concetti filosofici affascinanti. Eccellente in tutto; trama, personaggi, ambientazioni, musiche ... Ho comprato questo cofanetto per tre motivi: 1 - il confezionamento ( la qualità del cartonato è ottima, racchiuso in slipcase estraibile, contiene i tre dischi blu ray nel supporto amaray slim). 2 - l'artwork, molto più bella e curata rispetto all'edizione italiana. 3 - il prezzo (13€). Qualità video ottima, lingua italiana presente in tutti e tre i dischi nel classico 5.1, contenuti extra abbondanti. Assolutamente consigliato.

I'll consider the storyline well known (and if not, see your Wiki pages). The special effects are still good to watch after about 15 years and it's a real trilogy. With a real trilogy I mean it's not just "accidentally" in 3 parts because the first part was a box office hit which called for a sequel and the sequel also did pretty well so a third part was made. That's not the case with this trilogy. From the first shots to the last the story was DESIGNED as a trilogy. That said, still the first movie might be watched separately, without the other two, as it has kind of a happy end hinting at the end of the man-machine war. I do not recommend watching the 2nd or 3rd part separately.

The movies are perfect, but I find the box set covering to be rather fragile and paper thin. Maybe that is the way it should be, but I am very careful each time I unsheath it.
