Great secondary patch for my DexCom G6
I work out 5 days a week and swim in the pool as part of my workout. These patches work great with a caveat... After a few days the edges of the SimPatch start to fray and curl off. When you try to replace the SimPatch with a new one, it usually pulls off the G6 adhesive and the sensor has to be replaced. My solution was to cut up another SimPatch and apply it over the first. Not ideal but it worked. Then I found a reusable plastic shield here on Amazon that works great for that issue. The shield I purchased is this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z7L1KSM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1. When you use the SimPatch with the shield, after you insert the sensor, you attach the SimPatch to the shield and then apply it over the G6. With the shield, the SimPatch stays on longer and it is easy to replace the SimPatch without affecting the sensor insertion by pulling off the SimPatch with the shield and apply a new SimPatch to the shield and then over the G6. Even without the shield, the SimPatch is a great way to help keep your G6 in place for its 10 day life, even if you have to "repair" it with another SimPatch during that time. With the shield, this product is unbeatable.

Actually lasts
These have been great for holding down Dexcoms and last for days and very rarely ever peel up, if at all. For the most part they last until we need to change the Dexcom again

Gives you the security you need to not worry about the sensor all day.
The product is wonderful. This is my first time with the Dexcom G6 and I was very worried about using it in water. When I came across your product and saw all the good reviews I wanted to try it for myself to see. Today was the first time to change out a sensor and from when I used your product until now I have had no issues. It lasted the whole time of the sensor use. I felt very comfortable although the size of the patch does leave a sense of presence on my stomach but after a few hours to a day it goes away. Application was easy and very straight forward. I waited 45 min before heading into the shower and it still worked great. There was no pealing at all, even towards the end of the sensor cycle. Getting it off was a little painful but truthfully the area where the patch sat was dry and clean, unlike the patch of the sensor which left some sticky residue. Overall an amazing product. The color is wonderful and it really does give me a sense of confidence that the sensor will not move or fall off. Tomorrow will be my second test with it at the gym. Last time it went well so here's hoping for the same results. Thank you very much for the product and keep up the good work.

Good! Sometimes requires replacement
By far my favorite patches to wear over my G6. I do have to add a second sometimes because it can come off/lose its stickiness but overall very good.

Love these!
Sometimes the Dexcom adhesive will get loose on your skin before your sensor time is up. These are great to cover for that or if you’re going to be in the water or sweating a lot. I have pretty sensitive skin and it hasn’t bothered my skin. I usually put some skin tac on it before to be safe. Will definitely buy these again. They fit great and very helpful. They definitely last the 10 days and then some I’m sure.

They REALLY hold tight on the skin!
I like these adhesive patches because my skin is so sensitive to adhesives. I apply a product beneath this product before applying my Dexcom G-6, then on top of the G-6 dressing, I put the adhesive on. It holds well, doesn't come off in the shower, pool, or ocean, it holds the G-6 in place very well. The only issue is that it is very difficult to take off my body! If I put it on my abdomen, it pulls the fine, small hairs and leaves a lot of pink bumps for a few days, but at least the CGM is not coming off, which was the sole purpose for getting these adhesives. I would like it if they were not as large as these because it leaves a larger surface area for the pink, itchy bumps after I take it off.

Not so helpful.
I usually apply one of these on day two or three on inserting a new sensor. These only hold for two to three days. I had to remove the sensor early last time because it fell off. This time, it’s holding on with a band-aid. I wanted to love these, but won’t be purchasing them again.

prefer cutout vs fully covered, heat-activated adhesion
I am comparing this overpatch with another one I tried earlier, the Not Just A Patch CGM Sensor Patch https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QV58G69. Pro: having the cutout in the center allows me to do maintenance on the transmitter, the NJAP patch had the center fully covered and I had to carefully pull it off without pulling out the sensor when I ran into problems on the first day and had to readjust the transmitter. This is very awkward to do one-handed (sensor is on my right arm). With this patch I am able to fix any issues on the transmitter (in my case I had to add extra vaseline around the contacts to improve waterproofing). Con: The adhesive on this Simpatch is heat-activated, different from the NJAP which is a more standard adhesive. That one does offer the luxury of letting you pull it off and restick it (to some degree) while this patch if you pull it off you lose the adhesive and cannot re-stick it. I do notice that after a week of rubbing against clothing the edges may start to lift, the box advises cutting off parts of the patch that are no longer sticking to your skin. I did not have this problem with the NJAP which stayed on for the entire lifetime of the Dexcom G6 sensor (10 days).

When used with Skin-Tac my dexcom g6 is safe and secure for 10 days - worry free. Great amounts of scretch for contoured fit. Strong adhesive. Stands up to showers and pools. The perforation could be better as they are a bit tricky to remove the backing. But otherwise a great design.

First one was OK, a bit of itching and generally not noticeable. With the second and third one it got progressively worse - to a point where I was forced to remove the sensor earlier than its expiry. The whole area under the patch seemed like it was some sort of a chemical burn (remains for a week or so after the removal) - this already happened two times and I am forced to discontinue the use of these patches. I do not have any known allergies to anything or skin conditions, so this is definitely the adhesive itself. Unfortunately, I can’t NOT use an overpatch because with my active lifestyle, Dexcom’s native smaller patch just doesn’t stay on for long (only for about 3-4 days). Reached out to the seller to try to return the remaining SIMPATCH patches, only to be informed that the return period has expired, so I’m stuck with them now.

First day using one, and it peeled off, along with my sensor. I bike commute to work, so I sweat a bit. Shouldn't have been enough for the Simpatch to peel right off..... I didn't even get to see if it was waterproof as advertised - it didn't even make it through the sweat test.
