Solder Flakes...Great for Fine Detail Work!
I too was surprised when I received these solder pieces. No matter what the ad says, pictures show, or other reviewers state, it is still a bit of a surprise when you see just how tiny these really are. But, here's the thing...when making silver jewelry, it is extremely important to hide solder joints. Using tiny pieces of solder like these will help prevent leaving big gobs of solder that will take extra time to file down and will also go a LONG way in preventing over use and waste of precious silver solder saving you money in the end. I do think there are some unfair reviews here because this seller has been perfectly honest about the size of these pieces and even shows them in another magnified photo right next to the main pic against a mm measuring tape as well as a regular non-magnified picture showing a bunch of this stuff next to a dime. If you buy these by looking at the main photo alone, you definitely will be surprised. The main photo is probably magnified anywhere from 50 to 100 times. So just be prepared for the actual size of these pieces. As far as pricing? The price does seem to be fair. Not fantastic, but fair. Rolls of silver solder are extremely expensive and often clumsy to use. So personally, I feel that using solder flakes (flakes, a better description in my opinion) like these are a BIG help in making silver jewelry, especially if you are creating delicate features such as tiny scroll work. If you are making larger pieces of jewelry without a lot of fine detail then you might want to stick with regular wire type solder.

Perfect for smaller jobs!
These solder chips are super small but great for when Im soldering bezels to a back plate. I use a paint brush with flux to pick them up and place where I need them. No issues with the solder not flowing.

Good, but too small
It was too small for my bracelet soldering, but it worked well. I will order larger chips.

One Star
Misleading. Actual product weight is .1 ounce (yes, point one). Not bad product, just very overpriced.

Truth
It was smaller than I thought. But that's because I didn't pay attention. They are tiny pieces like advertised.

Don't Sneeze! They Weren't Kidding With "Ultra-Tiny"!
Normally I buy Harris Safety Silver 56% for use in my shop, where i construct live steam locomotives. The Harris product comes in a roll and so i was intrigued when I saw this product that promised 1500 pieces of silver solder. When the product said "ultra tiny" in the description, they weren't kidding. If you sneeze, you will lose the whole contents of the package as it goes up in a cloud of glittering dust. This is obviously meant for artisans who design and build jewelry, where ultra tiny bits of silver solder may do the job. I may ultimately find some uses for these atoms of silver solder in my shop. Time will tell.

Too tiny to work with
I bought these BECAUSE they are 'ultra tiny' pieces. I wanted to use them to solder links of a fine chain. So why do I hate it? First, even though I used very fine tweezers, I cannot pick up only a few pieces, I always got globs of these chips. So I had put put a bunch on the inflammable surface, push the pieces apart, then VERY CAREFULLY pick some up with a pick without melting them. That is such a hassle and time consuming that I might as well use larger solder chips. Secondly, a single tiny piece doesn't seem to be enough solder so I have to VERY CAREFULLY place several tiny pieces on each tiny joint. So I should not have bought such tiny pieces which is not the product's fault. I have to look for larger chips or make my own small pieces of solder.

Funciona bien pero es muy pequeño, estaría bien que el fabricante diera la opción de más medidas

These work really well and are perfectly sized for my kind of projects. It’s SO convenient to have these as it saves a lot of time- and my hands- from the tedious process of chomping through rebellious and razor sharp solder strips at very inconvenient moments.
