Wonderful hammer, a little off for granites, but otherwise best.

Colour is a bit different then the one shown in picture but works really good. Tried on some pebbles from river side. Nice product. A bit heavy and dangerous at its pick side. Use safety while using.

Lovely hammer, survived many fossil hunting trips, used for cracking rocks and sifting through mud, without fail. Picked the longer one which is good for reach (and helping to stand up from crouching), but it is quite heavy to carry around. So unless you expect to need the extra oomph from heavier head and longer hammer consider getting the 14oz one.

Da gibt es nicht viel zu sagen: der Hammer ist robust, sehr gut verarbeitet, liegt super in der Hand und tut das, was er tun soll, nämlich mit unwiderstehlichem Nachdruck Gestein zu zerlegen. Und ganz ehrlich gesagt, ein bisschen "Prestige" ist für einen Geologen schon auch dabei, einen Estwing an seinem Gürtel baumeln zu haben. :-)

Siamo al top dei martelli da pietra. Peso gestibile bene con una mano sola e l'impugnatura lunga e la robustezza del martello consente l'utilizzo a due mani per migliorare l'accuratezza. L'acciaio duro di cui è fatto trasmette la forza del colpo in maniera ottimale alla pietra. Efficace e precisa la punta acuta permette distacchi accurati, se ben maneggiato. Spesso gli indispensabili mazzetta e scalpello restano nello zaino. Non usarlo con mazzetta al posto dello scalpello con manico perché è curvo e si danneggia oltre a non trasmettere bene il colpo.

La qualité au top pour les géologues, easting marque de référence et made in USA! Nous avons offert ce marteau à un ami et l'avons testé le week-end suivant : super résistant et poignée anti choc au top ! Attention en général en école de géologie, il est souvent donné des modèles "ado", ici il s'agit du modèle adulte, plus lourd. Le bleu sur le manche ajoute un petit côté esthétique.
