Lovely and relaxing

Excellent recording and mastering of live concert in Vienna. The description of this release is misleading as the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra is Not conducted by Hans Zimmer but he did nevertheless newly arrange all of the music composed by himself. I actually preferred the Live in Prague recording of 2016 but the vinyl issue in this case was poorly pressed.

Lovely album

I guess you are looking at this as you are interested in film music - so first off bear in mind this is a live orchestral arrangement of Zimmer's music (by himself). This are not a compilation of OST material. For me there are some things I won't play again, and about 2/3 of it I will. It is a personal thing from swathes of music over 6 sides. The vinyl is good - at least 180g, flat and pretty much free of nasties. I encountered one small patch of noise that hopefully will wash out, other than that this vinyl is about as good as it gets without special mastering. The sound is well balanced and is powerful when needed and orchestral instruments well laid out and nicely drawn in the mix. Without audiophile or half speed mastering etc It means you can hear some vinyl "woosh" between tracks when the volume is up loud and that is par for the course. A dislike is that 2 disks are in one side of the gatefold sleeve making them hard to get out. I'll keep disk 2 between the gatefold and keep everything in a polypropylene sleeve.

Excellent quality, sounds lovely on our record player and we really like the selection and variety of Hans Zimmer pieces included especially The Holiday, Spirit, Pirates of the Caribbean and Inception. Makes a wonder gift or great Addison to your collection!

I only bought this for The Da Vinci Code parts on Disk 2. But wow, what a record from start to finish, superb orchestral delivery and all live. The pressing is absolutely flawless and the records were perfectly flat and well centered. Seriously, any fan, just grab it while you can, it's superb.

Die Zusammenstellung der Songs empfinde ich als sehr gelungen. Auch wenn es sich nur um einen kleinen Auszug seines Schaffens handelt. Die Reihenfolge weicht von der CD Veröffentlichung ab. Das hat bei den LPs aber durchaus Sinn gemacht und so sind auch die Da Vinci Suite, die Gladiator Suite und die Pirates Suite nicht zerrissen bzw. gut mit anderen Stücken eingebettet. Das Orchester ist nicht das gleiche, wie auf der Live in Prague Veröffentlichung (oder der Hans Zimmer Tour). Hier handelt es sich eher um eine klassischere Orchester-Besetzung, die durch Drums, Bass und Gitarre ergänzt wird. Das Ergebnis ist grandios! Klang: Tolle Abmischung! Die einzelnen Instrumente und Sektionen sind klar zu orten. Der Mix ist transparent und dennoch druckvoll untenrum. Die Dynamik ist auch klasse! Verarbeitung: Die Platten sind absolut fehlerfrei. Optisch dachte ich erst, sie wären sogar schon gewaschen. Keine Verschmutzung zu erkennen. Ein Hörgenuss war es allerdings doch erst nach dem Waschgang. Kein Knacksen, kein Höhenschlag - Verarbeitung Top! Die Innenhüllen sind anti-statisch. Unweigerlich hatte ich das Gefühl ein hochwertiges Produkt erworben zu haben. Das passiert beim Plattenkauf leider nicht ständig. Ein bisschen schade ist nur, das bei dem Gatefoldcover 2 LPs im hinteren Teil steckten und da es sich um 180g Pressungen handelt, die Hülle etwas geknickt wurde. Sie sitzen schon sehr stramm im Cover. Fazit: Toller Querschnitt durch Hans Zimmers Schaffen und das in hervorragender Qualität. Klanglich ganz großes Kino mit einem tollen Orchester. Sehr zu empfehlen!

3 LPs en estupenda presentación. Excelente calidad de sonido. Un concierto largo y muy bello, que incluye algunos de los mejores soundtracks del compositor. Me encantó que incluyera Rush ! El envío impecable, el nivel de protección para el producto es inmejorable.

Han Zimmer IMHO, scores movies the best. This vinyl collection has a ton of great movie soundtracks that are not available elsewhere. This is a must have for any fan. This set is 3 discs and there’s a part 2 with 5 more discs.

Pro: Stereo imaging were very detailed (certain songs) Con: Pricey Packaging was crappy. 3 LPs and the package can only fit 2 LPs because only 2 slots Recording on some songs were not really Live and sound dull (no image, no details like modern Pop music)
