Star Wars Epic Yarns: Return of the Jedi

I got this book for my husband who is a huge Star Wars fan. He loved it! He thought the pictures were really cool. He's also enjoyed reading it to our 6 month old. She really likes looking at the pictures. My husband appreciates that the book and the pictures don't entirely give away the whole story. This book is a great introduction for kids to Star Wars.

My 2 year old loves these books. She has all 3 of the original trilogy ones memorized. It’s awesome. The pictures are so cute, and each page having only 1 word makes it so accessible and fun for little ones!

These books are so much fun! Excellent pictures with simple text. My little one has been infatuated with the series wince we first saw them at the library. He went back to them again and again, so we purchased our own. It's a great introduction to the Star Wars universe for your little one.

I love the complete trilogy. The work involved in making the felt figures and setting up the photos is just great, and the thought that went into choosing the accompanying words to tell the story is clear. Great for adult fans and kids alike.

Beautifully done. Really. I'm not the Star Wars fan in the family but these books are just so gorgeous. The books make a good college try of editing out the violent parts of the trilogy but beware of spoilers!

The fiber art is amazing! Don’t Expect a story. Each picture has a simple one-word explanation. We use it to retell the movie story. Bought it for the photos of Holman Wang’s intricate felted sculptures. Genius!

This series is fabulous! My 2 1/2 year old loves these books! We read them every night, and he reads them back to us. The pictures are awesome and, because the words are simple, it is easy for a young one to understand and repeat.

Sturdy, adorable, amazing. Couldn't possible complain. Highly recommend this Epic Yarns series as well as the Cozy Classics by the same author. Also a great gift for expectant parents who love fibercrafting.

In diesem Bilderbuch sind auf den Doppelseiten jeweils ein englisches Wort (wie z.B. Monster, Sister, Storyline...) und die dazugehörige Szene aus Die Rückkehr der Jedi-Ritter zu sehen. Die Bilder haben diesen Puppet-Style, also keine Fotoszenen aus dem Film. Ich finde die Bilder sehr ansprechend und geeignet für Kleinkinder, die anfangen die Schriftsprache erkunden.

As a needle felter myself I am so excited by the release of Star Wars Epic Yarns. These fabulous set of three books for children ( and Adults I might add having ordered myself all three books lol ) created by Jack & Holman Wang cover the stories of Star Wars A New Hope, Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Return the Jedi. Each book has very little written words aimed at using both the imagination of the Adult and young children to create the story from the amazing colour photos. Each photo shows a scene from the movie and is painstakingly created using real miniature sets of such good quality and detail they are worthy of real movie sets themselves. Each scene then shows several beautifully detailed needle felted figures. All the characters are stunning but I have to confess within the three books( there is also Star Wars and Star Wars Empire Strikes Back ) it was the Stormtroopers that as a needle felter are my favourite as they they are so perfectly 'felted' and really caught my imagination as to what you can achieve as a needle felt artist. As a Sci-Fi Geek myself I would recommend these as a 'collectors item' as well as a lovely item to give to your children/grandchildren/nieces and nephews. Here's hoping for more 'Star Wars' or Sci-fi adventures from these talented artists. All three books are available via amazon for very reasonable prices so it's worth buying the set. Luke, Leia y Han siempre han sido achuchables. Darth Vader un poco menos. El caso es que sin palabras, o con muy pocas, estos libros cumplen con mostrar desde un punto de vista muy suave lo que es sin duda enorme aventura. Perfecto para explicar lo que quieras e inventar lo que desees. Tus hijos, sobrinos o lo que sea lo disfrutará. Si tú eres un fan, no se lo querrás dejar. O algo.

My son loves these Epic Yarn books. We have the first two so I had to purchase this one to complete our trilogy. Beautiful artwork and a fun, easy read for small children.

It's Epic. It's yarn. It's Star Wars. What more needs to be said. Lol. Simple words, great illustrations. It'll be one we read over and over again.
