Great for threading elastic in a casing and measuring 1/4" seam allowance
Love this handy, dandy tool. Works great as a point turner, seam allowance measurement, and as a bodkin to insert elastic into casings. I like to have several of these on-hand in multiple places in my sewing room. This variety pack is a great value. Good, fast delivery too.

Such a helpful sewing tool!
I don’t know how I lived without these. I’ve always used a safety pin to thread my elastic, but this is much better (for smaller/thinner elastic). It threads it much faster. I also love to use the flat end to check for a 1/4 inch seam allowance or to help feed a piece of fabric under my sewing machine foot when I have a little flap. The pointed end is also handy for this purpose too, depending on the situation, plus I use it to help push out and flatten a seam before pressing when making masks. Very handy and sturdy little sewing tool!

makes some things easier
So glad to have these to help with holding corners & things while sewing. The end will even follow the fabric under the foot, so it stays in place. This makes corners look more square. Happy with purchase

Enough to share with your bestie and your cat
Before I owned a Thang, I never thought that I actually needed one. I had used various other things to do what this tool can do. And truth be told, I was glad to have extras because i sewed through the tip of the first one. Hahaha!! Yup--I got the tool too close to the needle-- but that's actually a good thing. At that moment--that's when I knew that I could use the tool to get right up in there, right under the presser foot. My feed dogs need help when it comes to keeping quilty seams from flipping. I can get the Thang right up to the flippy bit and coax it back. I'd recommend taking your foot off the gas when you do that. That's where I screwed up. And I needed a new needle and had to apologize to my sewing machine. What's great about this multi pack is that if i lose one to the cat (likely), and possibly wreck another one (whoopsie), I'll still have enough extras to share with my bestie. And honestly--having a PINK Thang kinda thrilled me. It's truly helpful to have more than one Thang, especially in multiple colors. When you get deep into your sewing AND you're binge-watching a show...you lose the tool. Having a color that stands out from your fabrics makes it easier to find. I normally have two Thangs in use for that very reason. The price is good too.

Good quality and terrific price
I'm happy I bought these. I already had two "Purple Thangs" that I put to use for a variety of tasks every time I sew, but because they are purple I'm constantly losing track of them as soon as I set them down. Something about that color makes them camouflaged amongst the sea of my quilting stuff. These Thangs tools are the same quality as the original Purple Thangs. The Colors are vibrant and cheerful and are easier to spot, and now I have enough to keep one handy with each of my sewing machines, plus with my hand sewing stuff. (The purple one I'll be giving away for a Christmas present, since, as mentioned, I already have two that color.)

A can do anything gadget that everyone needs
I can't keep up with these little gadgets as my husband loves them too. You can sew stiff burlap with this little gadget. It's great for turning inside out corners, pushing fabric on sewing machine & I place a moist paper towel on the end to clean tight spots like corners around molding on hardwood floors or carpeting. I love these things but have to hide from husband...lol

Indispensable tool!
The Thang tool is so useful! I’ve used it when turning items, to get sharp corners. I’ve used it to thread elastic or cord through a casing. I’ve used it to guide bulky seams through the needle and keep my fingers out of the way. I first got That Purple Tang a number of years ago and had no idea how much I would rely on it! The old one finally broke, so I ordered A five-pack—they now come in more colors!

This is such a helpful tool ... poke a point, check measure a seam width, ease a flare under your needle ... I'm reaching for it more and more!
