Arkon GoPro Windshield or Dash Car Mount Holder for GoPro Hero Action Cameras Retail Black

I have used it on a windshield to take time-lapse images over 2 days of driving. It fell down once but to be fair I had not cleaned the spot on the windshield prior to mounting it that day.There are some vibrations but the end result video is good (might not be the same when recording a video and not images), but I believe they could be minimized by using rubber bands to absorb some of the vibrations (when possible of course, depending on where you mount it).I love the ball joint! Previously I used the GoPro suction mount and it took so many connections to play the camera the way I wanted it that this is a really welcomed upgrade from it.

I would never put this on the outside of a car unless I had a lanyard of some sort attached to the camera. It does stay on the windshield pretty well but the arm is so long the camera wobbles a lot. I have tried several different mounting positrons but nothing seems to take the wobble out. I sure do wish that I had it mounted and recording in a recent head on collision I was in. Then the other guy wouldn't have a leg to stand on lying about running a red light.

Since I don't trust windshield mounts, I decided to use the dashboard attachment instead. So far, the arm has lost suction and fallen off only once. Luckily the GoPro is build to withstand such mishaps. The unit itself can be adjusted in every direction which makes it easy to get it "just right" The joints are tight, so once it is positioned it stays in place, no sagging. I'm glad I purchased it.

The arm is longer and weaker that it probably should be, a lot of shake on Vermont roads. Holds GoPro just fine, and clamps to the windshield well - hasn't come off in some pretty cold temperatures.

Even after tightening down my camera would wobble around too much. Ended up using a 3 suction cup mount instead. Works much better. This would be ok for normal driving I guess. But if you're using it for a track day or something... Skip it.

This thing works OK, but it is more designed for filming inside the vehicle than out the windshield, you have to change the orientation of the camera to fit the mount.

I have a Jeep Wrangler and this is the only product that I have found that you can suction behind the rear view mirror and have great motion.

Works well on the inside windshield of a car. Minimal vibration on bumpy roads. The ball joint is a good option I recommend because you can mount the suction cup off to the side of a curved windshield and rotate the camera so it level. The other two joint styles can't do that and you end up with the camera tilted.

This thing lasted 3 days and the sticky part separated from the pad. Terrible product. What a hassle.

Good for now but well see if the temperature here in Winnipeg drops to -55. Hope suction will still be good during those temp but so far its good
