Solid bits
These are great. I used them on a job today to drill a hole in some travertine. They went through it like butter. They also didn't blow the back of the stone out when it went thru. Definitely worth the money.

Bomb shelter bricks
I've got a home which I swear was bricked up with bomb shelter rated bricks. I've never had to deal with drilling into anything like it. I used the largest hole saw of the set for installing a new sump pump outlet through the basement rim joist and outer brick. It took me a good 15 minutes to get through it, but this set did fine. As to the bolt and the pilot drill, frankly I don't like keeping them in anyway. Once the hole saw starts biting enough of a hole that it can self guide, I remove the pilot bit, so no issue with the bolt shaking loose. It did the job I needed it for, and the carbide looks fine. I don't doubt that it will last quite a while. The only issue I did run into was after I finished, I did not take the whole saw off the shaft and just chucked it to the side. Methinks it would have been better to pop it loose while it was hot. At this point it's stuck, but I figure I'll just hit it with a torch and break it loose.

Worked well.
I needed this to bore 2 one-inch holes thru the concrete block wall of my house to install a water softener. The first hole passed thru the "hollow" portion of the block and the tool cut thru both sides well and made a fairly neat hole. The second hole lined up with the web in the center of the block and took much longer. But the tool did the job and continued to cut straight. I did have to stop and re-tighten the pilot drill a couple of times and the shank did loosen up in the chuck as well. The tool looks to be in good shape after boring two holes. The only reason I didn't give 5 starts is that I've never used anything like this before and have nothing to compare my experience to.

Good value
I was skeptical about the tool being what they claimed it to be. I was pleasantly surprised. All I needed to do was cut a 40mm hole in a stucco wall so I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money on a hole saw I may only use once, but I'm also a tool nut, so I went ahead and bought it. The brazing on the cutter heads are well done (I'm a welder so I do know what I'm talking about) and the shaft fits a Bosch rotary hammer drill. I'm very pleased and now I can lend it to friends knowing it's not going to fall apart on them.

Amazingly fast
I was amazed at how quickly these chew into concrete. Excellent quality and design. I choose this product because I wanted the type that has a hex head bolt to secure the pilot drill bit. The pilot bit quickly loosens and the bit and the bolt can drop out in unfriendly places. This could be expected with any brand with the easy solution being electrical tape. Tighten down the hex bolt and put several wraps of black electrical tape over it to prevent any problems. Happy drilling!

Recommended for the job
First time I ever drilled the hole through concrete. The drill bits did a great job. Easy to use and sturdy.

60mm version verses cured concrete a real chore, needed repeated sharpening
I've revised this from one to three stars (WAS) Have only used the largest (60mm) of the set on cold concrete in cold temperatures with normal forces. After gaining about 1-inch of depth jumping between 3 started holes the cutting edges are spent.....expected much better life and cutting action based upon reviews....did not meet realistic needs. NOW: I've been able to dress tools edges with a diamond drum using a Dremel. After about four sharping's holes are drilled.....I bump for durability as with sharpening it completed the job and still has life.

Poor design
Allen screw loosens as you drill and doesn’t stay tight resulting in the pilot bit dropping out and losing it in the hole. I copied this review because exactly the same thing happened to me. Will be returning.
