The product itself is great, the hot pot section is big enough, but not as big as our typical hot pot pots. Comes well packaged, with some useful accessories. Yes, it smells the first time, but the test run process in the manual is effective. Heats up pretty quick, temperature control works fine. Nice to use for dinner parties as u can grill food at the table with central section for sauces etc. It heats up very quickly once plugged in by the 2 pin plug to the mains. The grill is smokeless so u can use indoors or on a table in the garden. Makes entertaining friends & family a more inclusive & friendly activity when u can all pick items to grill directly from the table. It is easy to clean off after using. With full instructions & a recipe booklet giving u ideas on dishes u can cook with it. Includes 2 free pastry brushes to apply coating/sauce to food & a pair of tongs for removing cooked items from the hot cooking surfaces.

We purchased this back in April 2020, and it is still working (albeit that we lost the grease trap - we still make it work with foil contraption). It can feed 4-6 people - depends on how fast people eat their meat/food. The heat setting is perfect and can cook fast or slow. We are KBBQ enthusiasts and go KBBQ or do KBBQ so frequently - more than we are ready to admit. This grill arrives just in time since all KBBQ restaurants were closed. We have a big family, so we use this and the other grill we have (the type you put over the stove). We use the middle for the soup to accompany our KBBQ - or cheese corn or cheese dip. Also, the meat doesn't stick at all. The hot pot area is too small to feed more than 4 people (if doing hot pot night) - in my opinion, since we do the whole spread (napa cabbage, fish/crab/shrimp balls, mushrooms, tofu, etc., etc.). Maybe the hot pot is ideal for 2-4 people. But the heating system works so well for the soup, too - it keeps soup hot and melts the cheese just right. CLEANING:::: It cannot be easier!!! The box states, "SIMPLY PUT THE WHOLE POT IN THE SINK FILLED WITH WARM SOAPY WATER," and we followed just that. We unplug, place it in the sink, let it get soak with soapy water, scrub, rinse, and done. If you're still having trouble cleaning the equipment because of leftover residue, maybe use EASY-OFF oven cleaner - this product usually takes care of our grill after KBBQ night. We make sure that the appliance is dry thoroughly before using it again.

I have already used it twice and it works very well. It heats up very very quickly and stays hot- boils my broth within seconds. They give us parchment paper to use which helps with cleaning but is not necessary. The grill is not slanted (which is good) but there is not oil that drips into the hole, you kinda have to push it in. With the parchment paper, the oils from the grills does not splatter so it doesn't burn when grabbing things in the hot pot. The grill itself is pretty larger, and can hold a lot at once. I noticed that my plug and cord would get fairly warm too so maybe it isn't best to use more than 2+ hours. Cleaning sucks. You have to tilt the giant thing over the sink so no water touches the bottom, a detachable sink spout is definitely helpful. The coating makes it pretty easy for things to wash, nothing sticks to it.

Buy it now! So much quality time spent with family with this machine. Heat up very fast. Good size pot. Feed family of 6 easily. Best purchase via Amazon this year.

This wasn’t the first hotpot & grill I got from Amazon. The previous I got from another broke down within 2 uses. When I was shopping for this one, I was a bit hesitant upon the negative reviews. BUT I have to tell you that this is the ONE. The hotpot and grill to go to. The package is so cute and it came with all the gifts as promised (i’m telling you the one I got from another brand did not). The user manual is really worth mentioning. It’s thorough and easy to understand with illustrations and cautions on how to use, how to clean. I was a bit nervous about cleaning but after closely reading it, cleaning is really easy! READ IT! Reason why I wrote this review is I think lots of others are not actually following the instructions. Seeing people just commented it’s hard to clean make me feel it’s unfair for the hotpot… anyway. The brand I got from the other brand came with Chinese and broken English manual. Smh. In terms of functionality, the heating is really fast. It is so powerful that an instant party is ready within minutes. No burning, no smoke, and easy to use. It’s funny because this has almost become a pandemic entertainment for our kids. We also tried a bunch of different recipes from the recipe book provided. Some days we do hotpots, some we do kbbq, and others we just do both. My advice for those who have concerns about the tripping fuse is that USE A SURGE PROTECTOR as advised by them. My husband is an electrician, and he said he understand this could take up lots of power, and people should use it properly.. for example, upgrade your household electricity to the modern ones and etc. I really hope this could be helpful and people can see it. As Christmas is coming up, I wanted to thank food party for bringing so much happy moments to my family. It really does make stay home mum’s work easier. I also have 6 siblings, so I decided they each will get one as a gift. Cheers.

I read a lot of the reviews on this product and was a little apprehensive on what to expect. The product arrived quickly and was very well packed. The box is nicely presented and would make a great gift. Their is minimal bits that require putting together. The device itself is easy to use with only two controls. The bbq plate gets very hot and cooks chicken, beef and vegetables with ease. I does take a bit of getting used to as its such a different way of cooking to throwing a meal together in a kitchen. Once you get used to the challenge of cooking it makes for a really great night in. We spent 2.5 hours round the table and had a great laugh. I want to address a lot of reviews about smoke. I didn't use fatty meats and 100% did not get any smoke at all. Steam yes, smoke no. I cooked on my dining table and have a smoke alarm directly above, no issues. Secondly the wire did not seem to get hot for me and no issues with sockets. Advice - ensure meats are cooked really thin. Buy some Gyoza's and put water in the hotpot section. boil till piping hot then place on the BBQ for a bit. When you are done cooking your Gyoza's add your stock. Highly recommended

Love it! Purchased on a whim after going out for hot pot and being disappointed, knew we could do it better at home! I’ve used it twice now hosting my friends, if you’re new to hot pot like us it can be quite overwhelming and expensive for the first go but once you have all the sauces and bases it’s very easy to throw together and so much fun with friends, we sat around for hours. Haven’t used to bbq grill yet (baby steps) but we turned it on and got hot v fast so next time we’ll be giving that a go! Ps. Cleaning can be intimidating but turn it off and wait for it to cool, scoop the grease into the bin, sponge and then wipe with kitchen roll

Very good product. Such a no fuss product to use, just open the box and you're ready to go. It was bigger than I expected and we had 9 people sitting around one machine and everyone was well fed and satisfied. Great family grilling experience, also great for breakfast, e.g. French toast or bacon on the grill, spaghetti or porridge in a fondue pot. 2 in 1 hot plate and pot top is not removable, but easy to clean as it is a seamless design.
