I see that pets are mentioned but no mention of dosage. Can anyone tell me the amount based on pet weight etc?

Dosages found on web search: (Per Day of exposure - for humans and pets): If using Iosat 130: Adults: One 130 mg tablet once a day. Adolescents, 12 through 18 years, children 3-12* and Larger Dogs: 65 mg (1/2 Iosat 130 mg), 25-30 lbs: 32mg (1/4 Iosat 130 mg tablet) 9-20 lbs: 16mg (1/8 Iosat 10 mg tablet) If you wish to administer potassium iodide to an animal that has a thyroid (cats, dogs, cattle, horses) follow the dosing information below. Crush it up and put it in their food. Do not overdose. Take with food. Consider the age of the animal. Young animals have the highest risk of health problems from radioactive iodine and radioactive iodine causes long-term potential for thyroid cancer. Therefore, if the animal is elderly there is little chance the animal will get thyroid cancer in its lifetime (one estimate for humans was about 4 years) and elderly pets may have more problems with side effects from the KI. If one should fail, others would continue to protect the plant, its workers, and the general public. Even if some systems failed, the remaining safeguards would dramatically slow down the rate of a radioactive release. A nuclear power plant cannot explode like an atomic bomb. The fuel in a nuclear power plant is too low in concentration to create the rapid release of energy necessary for an explosion.
