Strong magnet
I got these to use in making a small kitchenette unit for a camper-van. I use the magnet to hold both drawers and doors closed, to prevent them from opening when driving. I screwed them to the rear panel of the drawers and put a 3/4" strip of mild steel down the back wall of the cabinet for the magnets to cling to. I set them up to fully contact the steel. They hold quite well, well enough that you have to give a good pull to get the drawers open. Not strong enough to self-close the drawers (a lot of people have asked about that), but more than enough hold to keep the drawers tightly closed even on rough dirt roads. The holes in the center of the magnets make them easy to install with phillips-head wood screws. Be very careful tightening the screws as the rare earth magnets are quite brittle and will shatter if you get the screws too tight! I bought a second set for another unit, and will be buying them again.

Not bad
Strong enough. Be careful when screwing them in because they might crack.

Great for metal posters
I bought these rounds ones and some bar ones. The round ones arrived yesterday the bar ones should arrive today. None of them were broken. The screws are of a non-magnetic metal. They are strong enough that a single one can do what I was wanting it to do. I bought these in order to change from using the adhesive that a certain metal poster company sends with them to stick on the wall and hold it in place that is magnetic on the other side. The adhesive is one time use of course. So if I wanted to move them every I wouldn't be able to due to couldn't change from one spot to another. So instead I looked into getting these. Using even a single one of the medium metal posters is holding it up and in place. It does give it a spin point though with it being a circle so you have to balance it just right. Using 2 would be ideal. I tested how strong it would be on it before hanging it up. The magnet sticks to it very well and I used an hex key/ allen wrench in order to remove the magnet from the metal poster to not damage the back of the poster. Ordered 12 of magnets total. Might order more while I know that there seems to be a good batch.

Strong magnets
I thought these were like ones I have purchased before but they are far smaller. I looked at weight strength and not dimension. My mistake not the item description. I haven't used them for their intended purpose but I think I will swap these for the mega stronger ones I ordered before. Warning: Watch out working with larger rare earth magnets. They are very powerful and if you aren't paying attention and they draw together mid air and your fingers are in the way, you are going to know it! If they become stacked with no separator disk between magnets, they double/triple down on magnetic strength. You may not be able to pry them apart easily. With effort, depending on size of magnet, you can slide the topmost one off and place it elsewhere. Again, if you set it too close to another one, they will slam together from a surprisingly wide gap. You, a pet, kid or item might be in for an ouchie or damage. The magnets can break by slamming them to a surface they can stick to or by dropping them. 😁

They work good!
These worked exactly for what I needed them for and I have extras! Strong and easy to secure. I do wish they had a non marring plastic coating on them though.

Comes with beveled screws and matching taper in the hole in the magnet's caes. Magnet is shieled from damage by metal casing. Happy customer.

For the size, they pack a magnetic punch. When used as intended very effective. They were damn near impossible to seperate when I received them as they were sent in a jumbled pile stuck to one another( which is a testament to their strength to be certain) but a bit of a pain in the butt nevertheless. Wouldn't stop me from buying them again however. They are the perfect size for my project so that's also a bonus. Comes as advertised.

I had been using the magnets that I extracted from disassembling a hard drive to ensure that nobody steals my data and it never occurred to me that I could buy extra strong magnets from Amazon and of course you can and here they are. I have added a second pencil tray to the side of my metal desk to hold all my TV remotes as my rollable mini metal desk has just enough room for my keyboard and mouse. The Kleenex box hanging by magnets used to be stuffed into a car Kleenex holder but that didn't really worked out as those manufacturers only made the holder to hold 100 tissues and most box of Kleenex came with 128 sheets. But after discovering magnets I just insert a magnet at each corner internally and just stick them to the metal desk. Doesn't occupy any room and is easily swapped out a new box of Kleenex from an empty box. The magnetized pen trays holders has 5 magnets and it hols several remotes without any problems. These magnets are highly recommended and if I need more I'll be sure to come back and buy more.... 60lbs of weight and perhaps I only need 4 magnets to hold me up in a magnetic chair.... if you are reading this.... I suggest that you buy these magnets asap as you can now toss 60lbs of stuff on your fridge door....

Great Magnets, however be aware they are not polarised to each other face-to-face, only front-to-back.
