Shubb fan converted, now back to Shubb deluxe
I have been a big fan and long time user of Shubb capos. They are well made, work like a dream and they don't stick out on your guitar neck like spring loaded clip types. The only draw backs to a Shubb is that they are a bit heavy and they do require 2 hands. This new Fender capo is light weight, only requires one hand to put on or remove and nothing sticks out . It's made of plastic but seems durable. It probably won't outlast my Shubbs, but it is an ingenious design that I am really enjoying. One person complained it didn't feel secure enough, but I don't find that to be true. It's gentle on the guitar neck, but yet secure and just tight enough .****UPDATE***** Feb 2014I just bought the new Shubb deluxe which is lighter weight than the original. The Fender capo works fine on my electrics but doesn't clamp tight enough on my new acoustic. I'm back to Shubb.

Another Fender hit.
I love this capo, fits the neck on my strat and jazzmaster perfectly. I was a little worried about it holding up because the description said polymer construction, but when it arrived I realized it was made of glass filled nylon. It's quite sturdy and has easy one hand operation.

Easy to place
Works well for the most part.Goes on securely, not so quick to remove, I might just need more practice.

A clever fast capo
This is not that elastic strap thing from the '60's.This capo may be all plastic, but the mechanism stays tight and can be adjusted or moved with one hand, almost as fast as just changing chords with your left hand.

Not good for 7.25 radius
Tried to use on Fender reissue Strat & Tele with 7.25 radius fingerboards. Depending on positioning across the fretboard one of the "E" strings was always choked and buzzing, even with trying excessive pressure when clamping. Might be fine on a flatter radius

Might not be the best..
Nice product, easy to use sort of... Easy to put on but takes some extra effort to ensure that it clamps properly on low E string. If you need to put this on in a hurry then this might not be what you want. It is very easy to remove it. It does work ok but you may find something better out there...

Best capo ever
Been playing guitar for over 50 years and this is simply the best I've seen. Made in Germany. Brilliantly designed, easy to use with one hand, and doesn't knock any strings out of tune.

Poor quality
Broke after only a few uses and does not clamp down anymore.
