The Charlie Chaplin Collection BR 11 discs [Blu-ray]

Fabulous set and a true bargain price with excellent image and sound quality. As many extras as you would want. The disks require a region B player, which pays for itself quickly when UK box sets are as inexpensive as this one. No booklet and none needed

I’ve bought this collection as a fan of Charlie Chaplain like many other people, and the stuff was shipped from United Kingdom as mentioned with product description. I didn’t bother myself with the region code as I have a multi regional blue ray player (LG BP175), but surprisingly it didn’t play the discs because of Region B code problem. After a lot of thinking I discovered that the problem with the free region players, is that they don’t play some Blu-rays automatically and you need to fix the area code in your machine manually. Depending on your player brand and model I did follow the following steps with my LG BP175 player: 1-Click the Home button from the device remote control. 2-Go to settings and click on Lock. 3-choose Area Code enter your password 0000. 4-Change the code to UK then click on OK. Now you can play your Charlie Chaplain discs on your player. Please note that the approach differs from a brand to another and the model itself among the brands. Some area codes for some other models can be changed from the remote control itself and not from the settings as I did above. Hope you find my review useful.

This is a high quality product. Recently restored feature films of amazing technical quality. I've never seen Chaplin at his zenith like this before. "The great dictator" is a master stroke of "war" against Hitler, using the weapon of humor! Excellent value blurays.

This has all the important movies. Great collection. I would have preferred PAL format but I have made all my video equipment format free to allow for these stupid inconveniences.

Great visual quality and lotsa extras. Be aware that it is Reion 2 blu-ray

You can't play this product on region A players.

Read these reviews I was unaware that I would have to get a region free blu ray player to play these movies so read the reviews and do yourself a favor and buy a region free blu ray player

Beware the Area Code, this one is for Europe

Brilliant, Classic movies at a great price, if you like Chaplin get these before the price changes Individually the Blu rays movies vary in price, but at present are around the £10 mark each. So if you like 4 or 5 of them, then this boxed set is a bargain. The Kid, The Great Dictator, Limelight, Modern Times, The Gold Rush, The Circus that's 6 of them, and you get other works too. I think the additional material is the same as the 'special editions' dvds' which came out a few years ago. I haven't been through all the discs yet. but as an up-grade, or if you want some of the classic Chaplin long movies, this is a great box set

The films of Charles Spencer Chaplin should need no introduction but strangely seem to have fallen out of fashion. Whilst silent film is no longer mainstream, there remain a number of classics that are worthy of rediscovery by every generation. With Chaplin's work chief amongst them. This timeless collection includes 10 of Chaplin's feature films (The Kid, A Woman of Paris, The Circus, City Lights, Modern Times, The Great Dictator, Monsieur Verdoux, Limelight, A King In New York, with a bonus of The Chaplin Revue which is a 1959 release of 3 shorts - A Dog's Life, Shoulder Arms and The Pilgrim). Note that the version of The Gold Rush included is the 1942 re-edited version, commonly viewed as inferior to the 1925 release. All the films have been restored impeccably on blu-ray and are free of blemish. The definition in some of the shots is incredible. Whether you're a Chaplin fanatic, or want to see his films for the first time, this collection is a must.
