Smatree Battery Compatible for GoPro Hero3+ / Hero 3 Camera, Long Battery Life, 1290mAh Rechargeable, Dual Charger

Perfect. Just what I needed. I carry a PowerADD battery with me on long treks for my phone. I wanted to be able to charge my GoPro batteries also so this package did the trick. I can charge on the go on the bike or trail without worrying about a dead battery. And when I get home I can charge two GoPro cells at the same time without much hassle. Great lightweight little charging block and chord that fits in the smallest of places. Great device to have with you that makes charging on the go a breeze. One of those things you buy and your really happy you did. I have not timed the recharge on the battery, but is seems a little faster than the wall unit. The new batteries are giving me about 1 hr and 15-20 min filming at 1080p @ 60 frames. My last Smatree batteries (Non Li-Polymer) did about the same and are now down to about a hour after about a 18 months of 3-4 times a week use. The Smatree batteries out performed the original GoPro battery, which I rarely used because I never got an hour's worth or energy out of it. t it seems a little faster

Not much to say. It works as it was intended. I like being able to charge multiple batteries at once. I can leave two batteries charging unattended overnight. With a single charger I would have to check for the first to finish charging and then swap to the next battery. The capacity on these batteries seem to be accurate. They are slightly higher capacity than the OEMs, and lasts about 20min longer of recording for each battery. These are Li-Polymer which is a maleable material

These are awesome for my GoPro. They last just as long as the regular GoPro batteries for way less of the cost. Also, the battery charging station is awesome!!! It's a good investment to have extra batteries for the GoPro because I find myself running my batteries dead constantly filming so I love being able to swap out the extras.

As someone who has manufactured batteries for a living, I can tell these were made with fairly cheap materials, the housings don't seem to be much but a few layers of foil and arathane. That being said, considering the cheap price, I can see that the craftsmanship went into performance. After a full charge, these things lasted a bit over twice as long as my old official batteries for my GoPro Hero 3 (yes I'm still rocking a Hero 3 after all these years, I'm poor okay give me a break). Longevity remains to be seen, but as a few extra batteries go for recording long-form D&D sessions or hiking trips, these work great.

I have a GoPro Hero 3 Silver (Model: CHDHN-301) with a 64GB SanDisk Ultra class 10. After fully charging all the batteries from Smatree and my original GoPro battery I set my camera to record 1080, 30FPS, wide FOV. With the Smatree battery I was able to achieve 2 hours 36 minutes and 42 seconds. (3.7v 1290mAh 4.8w) With the GoPro battery I was able to achieve 1 hour 50 minutes and 17 seconds. (3.7v 1050mAh 3.885w) I absolutely love this battery and can't wait to use it skiing! The one downside I have right now is that the battery is a very tight fit, the way they wrapped the battery with the stickers makes it double wrapped (for the handle pull out) and thus a little difficult to finagle into the camera. It DOES fit for me, I recommend pushing in the stickers a little before insertion. The battery charger gets very warm during charging (no matter which battery I use) which leads me to believe they've designed a very cheap charger for these batteries. Which isn't a problem, it's not over charging as far as I can tell but it's definitely not thermally efficient. A better way to do this would be using a direct wall to charger circuit to go from my 115v AC to the 4.2v DC instead of 115v AC to 5v DC to 4.2v DC. I hope in the future Smatree will make a more energy dense version so I can record for 4+ hours on a single charge.

I've used these for quite a while now with my GoPro hero 3+ Black. Unfortunately they expanded after about the 3rd charge. I have continued to use them (I know probably not the smartest idea I've had) but am monitoring their size and heat quite frequently. They seem to be holding a charge just fine. They still work in the camera and I haven't had any problems with them. They are my last resort now because they have expanded. I have two OEM GoPro batteries that I typically use and if I can't get to a charger then I will use these. Overall an okay deal for the money, but for peace of mind I prefer the OEM.

I've had my Go Pro for a few years but just recently purchased the Smarttree. This thing is awesome. I wish I bought it earlier. Never miss a moment again when away from home or an electrical outlet. I mainly use it to film my sons basketball games. On some weekends there are about 3 games in one day. The Smarttree easily lasts for atleast 2 games. But just knowing I can easily pull out a freshly charged battery during a timeout or half time and keep recording is amazing

3rd party batteries have a reputation to not last as long as stock, and this was the case for these batteries. But, for the price, it's entirely worth it given that my stock battery has completely died. These do last about 1hr less than stock, but they do hold their charge well and haven't degraded on me so far. 10/10 would recommend!

Your card with fill out before the battery runs dry. Superb product for the GoPro. Just one little issue! The battery feels a little big and you will need to apply a little pressure to the battery lid to close it. Other than that, absolutely nothing. Gave me 2 hrs 15 min (time-lapse) before it showed full and the battery still had a block to spare. On the other hand, the stock batteries have only managed to give me 1 hour and 45 mins and that's the best I have got till date. I do not know how they will hold up after repeated usage. But for now, these are highly recommended if you are looking for spares.
