I bought this scratching post for my two adult cats, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I was a bit worried when I saw how thin the base was in pictures, but it's actually much sturdier than I expected. My cats are pretty big and active, and even when they're really going at it, the post doesn't tip over. It stays put, which is a huge relief. The height of the post is the best part. At 80cm, it's perfect for a full-grown cat to get a proper, full-body stretch. That's a really important thing for their health and for keeping them from scratching up my couch. The jute material on the post is also a big win. It's a natural fiber that they really seem to enjoy digging their claws into, and it's holding up well after a few months of use. It's much better than a carpeted scratching post which can feel too soft for a cat who really wants to sharpen their claws. The only real downside for me is the little dangling toy at the top. It's a fun idea, but my cats ripped it off in about 30 seconds. So if you're buying this, don't expect the toy to last long. It's a minor thing, though, since the main purpose is the scratching post itself, and it excels at that. Overall, if you're looking for a simple, tall, and sturdy scratching post that's a good value for the money, this is a fantastic choice, even for adult cats.

Cat loves it, took a couple of days but absolutely loves getting a good scratch n stretch! Easy to put together, extremely sturdy. If you don't have a lot of room, this is great, her Majesty patrols from the top of it too. Worth every penny in my eyes.

This came yesterday. Quite heavy and a little awkward to put together for one person. But I managed it. Very sturdy, looks good quality and puss loves it. The height is great as she can stretch straight up. She also likes the toy. I sprayed it with catnip which I believe helped. Good value for money. Can recommend.

It’s the perfect size for my big cats, and they love scratching it and sitting on it. However, they have managed to push it over twice (in 3 months), once from jumping off the top and kicking it away, and once from pulling too hard from scratching. I would prefer if the base was made just slightly wider. It’s a solid post, and the solid wood is so much better than the standard particleboard you get with other cat trees. My cats do have a slight issue with scratching it sometimes, the material seems to pull away in some spots, which stops them from actually scratching. But all in all, it’s a great choice compared to others, it’s really chunky and looks nicer than standard cat furniture.

Absolutely brilliant for the price didnt expect it to be so big and bulky!!! Very easy to put up very sturdy for my maine coon and 2 other cats. Hopefully they leave my sofa alone 🤣 will definitely be buying again when I need to upgrade looks good in my loving room the colour matches my decor. Can see my big cat having fun with it. Decent value for the price.

I love this scratching post and so does my cat who likes to scratch... Whereas most scratching posts have rope posts for scratching they seem to be more for looks and don't last long. This one however is amazing for scratching. It is a good chunky size and my cat likes to climb it to sit on the top for a fuss. I like how there is a need to climb to the top making it more interactive than just scratching. It was very easy to put together. It is very sturdy and safe. I just wish I could find a combination of this with a hammock for my cat to lay in.

Lo mejor de todo es que mi gata está encantada; lo usa muchísimo más de lo que me imaginaba desde el primer día. Estaba buscando algo que le diera un poco de "respiro" al otro rascador que tenemos en la esquina del sofá (que pusimos precisamente para proteger el mueble de sus uñas), y este nuevo poste ha cumplido su función perfectamente. Suficientemente alto y aguanta bien la fuerza de la gata y no se tambalea. En resumen, una compra muy recomendada si quieres que tus muebles descansen un poco y tu gato esté entretenido.

This is perfect size for my cat, he is a 2 year old male but always been a bit on the smaller side. He can tug on this and it won’t tip over. This also took less than 5 minutes to assemble. It didn’t take long for him to figure out the bristle feature either. I thought it might take awhile because he has never had one of those only regular scratchers, but we found him rubbing on it later that day. So yeah a normal one of these scratchers is around $20 at the store sometimes more than that and they typically are just the scratch post, this one is good value because it has two features for your kitty to enjoy. I suggest getting this and getting another cardboard plank scratcher for one single cat, if I only had this scratch post for him he would probably tear through it pretty fast but give your kitty at least one other scratch plank and this will make this scratch post last way longer. Also, I trim my cats nails as needed. My cat runs to his post whenever my boyfriend gets home and gets ready to feed him. Cats need to scratch for exercising muscles, letting out energy/excitement and I actually just read it’s a way for them to mark territory. My cat doesn’t really scratch on our furniture, never has. He has always had 2-3 items of his own he can scratch on.

I have the most prissiest cats in the world. They dont like many things at all, but they love their scratchers! I have gone through TONS of cardboard scratchers, I'm talking hundreds of dollars spent on them. Even the twine rope doesn't last with them! But this thing is so durable, and sturdy. My big girl (shes about 17 pounds) gets all fours clawed into this thing and it doesn't turn over or anything on her. They claw at it all day long and it hasn't torn or left any mess in my floor to clean up, unlike other scratchers! This thing is totally worth the money!

Update nach mehreren Monaten Nutzung: Anfangs hatte mein Kater den Kratzbaum kaum beachtet. Ich dachte zunächst, es läge an seinen noch kurzen Krallen. Rückblickend war es aber wohl eher der Umzugsstress – und dass der Baum im aufrechten Zustand nicht einladend genug für ihn wirkte. Als ich ihn testweise hingelegt habe, änderte sich das sofort: Seitdem nutzt mein Kater ihn täglich und sehr aktiv. Besonders beeindruckt bin ich davon, dass auch bei regelmäßiger Nutzung kaum Kratzspuren zu sehen sind – ein starkes Zeichen für hohe Materialqualität und Langlebigkeit.
