Carson Dellosa Summarizing Reading Comprehension 1st Grade and 2nd Grade Workbook, Passages and Targeted Practice Activities, Classroom or Homeschool Curriculum (Spotlight on Reading) Review: Had to modify due to one major problem - Overall I like this book, but it has one significant problem. A bunch of the pages have activities where you are supposed to cut out part of the page and glue it on. The problem is that there is another worksheet on the back. If you cut out the sections as directed, you can't use the worksheet on the back side. You either have to photocopy all pages with cutouts or you have to change how you use the worksheets. I've generally been able to either number things or draw lines from the cutouts to the spot they go, so I don't have to ruin the worksheet on the back. If they are going to have activities requiring cutting the pages, the back side of the pages should be blank. Not everyone has a photocopier at home. Review: Summarizing made fun! - GREAT book for helping students learn exactly what IS summarizing. Most useful to my students.
