Not a replacement for a generator but this UPS system gives you the power when all else fails. Just remember it is limited to the battery power it has. With that the more you give it to handle the less your time for it to keep your equipment going as with any UPS. Working great!

It is 2 years old and now has problems. The fan stays on all the time except when you shut it down and unplug it. The output voltage is low. Looks like I will buy something else.

Received the unit and installed in my power network. It was fully charge when received and it worked once plugged in. No issues.

*** Update 2 *** Replacement unit failed in approxximately the same amount of time as the original. This time I powered it off normally then when powering it back on it beeped and the display flashed for a bit before it finally gave up and started buzzing/ticking in a very annoying way. The only way to quiet the noise was to physically hold down the power button which obviously not a good solution so I boxed up the unit and took it outside. Email to CP was quickly answered with another RMA and an offer to replace this unit with the next model up in the line which reading the reviews might suffer from the same troubles. *** Update *** Cyberpower relented and sent me a shipping label to return the old UPS and I just received a replacement! This time I'm keeping the box. The first UPS I received was complete junk. I received this unit on March 4 and within less that a month it started showing trouble ultimately ending with an E01 error which according to CyperPower after contacting their support team means "there is an issue with the battery charger in your unit and would need to be fixed". Fine fix the darn UPS then CyberPower but no! I have to pay for shipping it to them first before they will send me a replacement!!! Last time I checked shipping UPS units with lead batteries around isn't cheap (probably works out to about 1/3 the price of a new unit plus I have to find a box that will keep it safe) so I'm really not willing to pay anything to get this dealt with based on CyberPower's track record with me so far on this model. This is the second CyberPower UPS I've purchased. My original older unit is still working great which is the reason up to this point I recommended CyberPower's products to friends and family. No more find some other UPS provider because CyberPower isn't the answer.

Great product! Changes over with ease during power failure. Currently running a mini Mac, and three OWC raid towers. Est. run time 90-100 mins when on UPS.

Pricey, but incredibly sensitive to power fluctuations. I live in an area where they're very common and this has caught them each time. In fact, sometimes the only reason I know that one has happened is because I've heard the UPS make the switch to/from it's own power. Often times the lights don't even flicker when it happens, but this UPS catches it anyway. If there were a pass-through to also protect my cable modem and routers connections, this would be almost the perfect home electronic protection device. For the price, it should have that protection, but it doesn't. So - minus 1 star for leaving out something so basic. Update: September 13, 2017 This little UPS went through it's "trial by fire" with the passage of Hurricane Irma. Yes, the power went out for an extended period and in the past none of my UPS would ever accept power from my standby generator, leaving me to watch helplessly as it slowly went dead. This one not only accepted the power, it continued to maintain a full charge and never started draining the batteries until I shut off the generator to save gas. The display initially indicated anywhere from 400 to 700 minutes of time at the load level it was carrying, although I didn't test that. So, if you're looking for an uninterruptible power supply that actually is uninterruptible, this should be high on your list of considerations. Add 1/2 star for that. If it only had the pass throughs to protect routers and cable modems, it would get the full five stars from me.

Worked beautifully for three months then the main board fried. The company has offered me a factory replacement as they offer a three year replacement guarantee on these units, but a three month lifetime does not bode well in terms of quality control and the best the company was able to offer was replacement after receiving the unit, which will take a few weeks minimum, and I will have to have the unit packaged myself which will not be cheap. Addendum: Received my replacement unit, but it is a tower unit, the CP1500PFCLCD, in other words, same capacity and features but larger form factor, etc. Possibly a simple mistake on their part, but truly annoying. I won't be able to use it for the original purpose, it's too big.

UPDATE , after 10 months of fan disconnet it is still workink perfectly , zero heat and noise . Finally i decide to open the case unplug the 3 pin fan closed everything now complete silent product with not more heat than before, noise problem solved . Good looking device , working good with a major flaw for me the FAN my god it is noisy as a hair dryer could not believed that , total regret because of the fan .

Ne fonctionne pas. Ne tient même pas le courant d'un router. Tombe en erreur dès qu'il y a une panne. Et impossible de se faire rembourser

The first one that arrived was had internal wiring issues. This caused the wiring fault light to illuminate no matter where it was plugged in. Thankfully I was replacing the same UPS from 2017 that worked perfectly for many years and never reported a fault. I contacted Amazon and they had a replacement unit shipped. That device is installed and working as expected.

Bought 2 of them, however one failed quickly as was returned. Something lacking in quality control?

The product works well for me, except for the display lights. It stopped working after the first year. At the beginning started to blink and now are not working.
