BRINKS. Double Cylinder Keyed Deadbolt Lock, Satin Nickel - Pick, Bump and Drill Resistant and Comes with an Anti-Pry Shield

I give this a FIVE STAR rating! This is a well made lock and has a beautiful finish. I bought it as a replacement lock on my back door. Installed it in five minutes and it works flawlessly! It came with extra hardware(plates and screws) to use if your application varies from what was originally installed. It also came with a metal ice pick shield. Many more expensive locks do not. If I could recommend one thing to Brinks is that they consider changing the way the instructions are organized. The instructions are for single cylinder and double cylinder locks. You don't need both right? And the instructions addressed single cylinder locks in one paragraph, and then double cylinders locks in the next, and back and forth. If they only want one document put single cylinder one on one side and the double cylinder other on the opposite side. A minor point.

Works as it should. I do this for living (Carpenter). Fit my exterior 1-3/4 door perfect.

One day hopefully women will not have to live like they are constantly under attack. Purchased this for my younger sister because a guy from her work decided to follow her home. Apparently he had made a copy of her keys while she was at the office gym one day and thought he'd just let be able to himself in. He did not count on a family gathering when she got home one night and we caught him as he was breaking in. Great lock, awful dude.

I'm surprised Brinks put their name on this POS. From the day I installed it there has been some issues. I had to remove it from the door when installing because the key got stuck and I couldn't remove it. I was ready to return it then, but the key suddenly came out. I put it back in. Since then it feels loose and sloppy. Turning the lock and pulling on it at the same time the key or mechanism moves sufficiently that the cylinder won't rotate. This happens when I'm locking the door with one hand. I wouldn't get another one.

Update: after the review written below, I did some Googling and found the Brinks' support site. They responded within 24 hours and provided precise, correct information. So, I'm very impressed with the support operation and the lock itself is working fine. The issue? It _really_ matters which lock has the prongs vertical and which lock has the prongs horizontal. ---- Product arrived in what seems to be a new box. However, after installation, only the inside lock works with the provided keys. So, the entire system is essentially useless... I'm currently Googling whether there might be a weird installation glitch for the outside lock but not seeing anything relevant thus far. Will update this review if things change.

I had bought a different brand and it failed a day later sent it back and I decided to try the brinks what a difference the quality was way better you need patients to assemble it took me about 10 minutes to align the tabs when i was done it worked perfect i would recommend this product

Works perfectly. Was used as a back door lock on the cottage easy to install and good quality.

This lock was easy to install and works as expected so far. It has keyed entry on both sides as advertised.
