The Way, the Enemy, and the Key: A Boxed Set of The Obstacle is the Way, Ego is the Enemy & Stillness is the Key Review: Ryan Holiday is the master actionable ways to improve productivity, understanding, and happiness. - I was introduced to Ryan Holiday via his podcast, The Daily Stoic. It was exactly what I needed at the moment. I was going through a transition in my life, almost an awakening. Being a person that thrives in intensity and out working everyone from college athletics to teaching, coaching, and running my business, i was beginning to take on too much. The pandemic was actually a great gift to me because it forced me to slow down, however after everything re-opened I began doubling down on work and giving my time away to others. As I was beginning to realize this I found The Daily Stoic. When I found this box set on desertcart I bought it immediately and I blew through the books. Ryan has a way of telling stories that has led to intrigue in people, events, and history that I have never been interested in before. His writing style is profound, yet easy to consume and understand. He provided compelling examples that not only helps make sense of the world in its current state, and also provides insights into how to be empathetic to others that we may not agree with or understand. His philosophies and ideas are easily placed into action. He provides guidance without coming across preachy or pretentious. This is a tremendous series for adolescents, parents, leaders, teachers, coaches, and anyone that wants to get the most out of every aspect of life. Review: Stoic accessible masterpieces - These books are like a slap in the face. All of them. Made me feel how empty I was and how I needed more discipline etc. my friend also had the same reaction at first made him depressed because he realized how unstable he was emotionally and how impulsive he was. The point is this is a slap in the face for many people. Many people won’t like that. But these principles are ancient, tested, and they work. The books are extremely simple. Maybe too simple for some. But I’ve read many books on stoicism. They are too complicated and too much philosophical bloviating. This is stripped, minimalist, and practical. You can aplly things the same day of reading. If you want to learn deeply and philosophically on stoicism buy another book. If you want to act now and change your life without massive arguments and history lessons this is the series for you. They are all good. Don’t know which home is my favorite.

Great Reads
I can't say enough about the writings of Ryan Holiday and his thoughts on the Stoics. But even if you're not into the Stoic philosophy, Ryan presents a good way to live life and he gives plenty of real-life examples of people who lived the way of the Stoics (seeking to live a life of justice -- doing the right thing). A highly recommended trio of books.

Ryan Holiday brings alive ancient philosophers and applies them to the modern era.
If you are a fan of Stoicism - Seneca, Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, or of Ryan Holidays books or writing stye in general, then you will love this collection of wisdom gathered from both his personal life and of course from the lives of the great philosophers mentioned and a staggered amount of thought and research has gone into these books to help apply them to modern day, since they are just as appicable as they were then. 4.5/5 overall for the serious of 3. (The Obstacle is the Way was my favorite of the trio)

I wish everyone would read this books
Life in general can be stressful. The world has become polar with little tolerance for others' opinions. It is difficult in my instances to take the high road. I read the set to understand a college of mine who reads the Bible and Seneca religiously. He recommended that I start with Ryan Holiday's series. I am amazed by his perspective, historical references, and general common sense. If you enjoy history with a mix of personal reflection into your own behavior, you will love this easy-to-read set of books.

Love this set from Ryan Holiday. For those who are looking for a modern take on the outlook of the great stoics, these books will not disappoint. The original Stoic translations can be difficult to cipher as their language and terminology is from so long ago. In these books Ryan gives a current view with new age examples of the great stoic teachers. For anyone looking to delve into the world of Stoicism as a philosophy for their life, these books are an excellent starting point. I've purchased them also for my kids who amaze me with their new outlook on life. So much to enjoy in this wonderful set.

Great books, the quality is good and the size is really handy to travel with as they aren't real large. I'm only 3/4 into stillness is key right now but I've read the rest and have loved them. Recommended for sure.
