This LAN Ethernet Adapter was a breeze to connect, it was just plug and play. No complicated hassles, nor software or app needed. And it works like champ. It was bought to connect an Amazon Fire TV Stick to the internet. Before installing it, my home wifi was down all the time, as the Fire Stick was consuming the whole bandwidth of the wifi. Moreover, we had issues with the of buffering data, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc had lags in the signal. Now, thanks to this incredible device, no more issues with buffering, no data lag, no video playing stopping, and most of all, we have the whole spectrum of the bandwidth to be used by other devices connected to the same network via wifi.

Do not buy this for a normal computer, rather buy it for a Fire Stick. For a normal computer this allows power from any connected peripheral to float into the USB port on the PC/MAC/... However, this is designed for the Fire Stick and similar applications. We do want that behaviour since we plug this into the power on the firestick then we plug the firesick power into this device. Now this device does send power over that uSD to the Firestick. If it did not we would not have a powered fire stick. Now plug in un-powered peripherals to the USB ports. If this was marketed for general purpose computers as a powered usb hub, then be very wary as the float between your PC 5v and this 5v may damage your PC. Meaning do not buy this for that purpose. Given that this device is designed and sold targeting Firestick style applications where power must be fed into the connected usb port to power the Firestick, I give this 5 stars.

This brand and model has issues. The ethernet connect connector has issues connecting.

Right out of the box it worked perfectly with my 4k max fire stick, been struggling to find an adapter that works. Also, this one comes with everything you need to hook it up, unlike some where you need a separate power adapter or a separate OTG adapter. I originally highly recommended this, but then after a few days I fired up an app stored on the external device and it said it couldn't find it. So I found I needed to unplug the USB storage and re insert every once in a while. Now the network port doesn't even work at all, and I had to move everything off the USB storage. Hasn't even been a year.

Great to set up with a fire stick. Get usb support and a QWERTY remote control with a single and get high speed internet with the direct Ethernet port connection. Great price!

I purchased this hoping that I could add a wired ethernet connection to my FireTV HD, and retain the external USB storage. After adding this connector, the Firestick would not recognize or utilize the USB storage. Remove this product, and the Firestick functions correctly, and uses the USB storage. I would not recommend this for anyone wanting to connect with a Fire Stick and retain the extra USB storage.

Purchased with the specific intention of using with Raspberry Pi 3A+. Glad to report it works flawlessly. Construction is great, with a metal case, 3 USB ports and an ethernet jack. Successfully negotiated 100Mbps with my switch, which is more than enough for the intended purpose. In my configuration I have bootcode.bin on SD card, and root filesystem on USB drive, so SD card hands-off to USB drive on boot. Very pleased this configuration continues to work with this hub, i.e. USB drive is now inserted into the hub and is still root filesystem. No additional configuration of Pi required, both USB hub and ethernet are recognised out of the box.

Ich nutze das gute Stück mit einem FireTV Stick 4K. Die Kombination von Ethernet-Adapter und USB-Hub erlaubt es, zusammen mit dem praktischen mitgelieferten Y-Adapter, diesen einfach zwischen das Originalnetzteil des FireTV Sticks und den FireTV Stick einzufügen und über den USB-A-Anschluss den USB-HUB/Ethernet-Adapter anzuschließen. Das Wired-LAN wird problemlos erkannt, so dass der FireTV Stick nicht mehr über WLAN funken/kommunizieren muss. WLAN kann, je nach lokalen Gegebenheiten, Stabilitäts- und Bandbreitenprobleme mit sich bringen. Über den USB-Hub lassen sich z.B. Tastaturen anschließen. Ich habe hier einen FLIRC USB IR-Empfänger angeschlossen, der sich als Tastatur ausgibt und so eine Steuerung des FiteTV Stick 4K über den IR-Ausgang meines Crestron-Prozessors erlaubt, womit der FireTV Stick 4K in meine Heimautomation eingebunden ist und zusammen mit den anderen Komponenten in meinem Heimkino über eine Fernbedienung gesteuert werden kann. Fazit: Die Kombo aus Ethernet-Adapter/USB-Hub und Y-Kabel ist eine interessante Alternative, wenn man neben dem Ethernetanschluss weitere Komponenten über USB an den FireTV Stick 4K anschließen möchte. Braucht man kein USB, kann man auch zum "original" Amazon Ethernet-Adapter für den FireTV Stick 4K greifen.
