Eyeliner application is so much easier with a thin pointed brush like this than a bent brush or a slanted angle brush. I bought this one because I wanted a thicker brush to do more dramatic lines and I couldn't bear to drop another $20 bucks for a MAC 209 (side note, if you are looking for a thinner brush the MAC 210 brush provides an extremely fine line and is very good if you have the money). When this one first arrived I was dissapointed to find a chunky looking brush that was much thicker than expected with stiff lacquered bristles. However after I "cracked" the lacquer by gently flexing it, I tested it out and was impressed. This brush is great for doing a dramatic but clean cat eye, it glided on my gel eyeliner smoothly and with great precision.

I usually line my eyes with a dark brown eyeshadow from MAC that I bought years ago and I use a cheap angled brush. This daily routine has worked for me for ages. Then I got interested in a more polished eyeliner look and bought a gel eyeliner from MAC. My usual angled brush just wasn't cutting it because it was so old it looked like an old toothbrush with the fibers going in every which way. This brush was cheap enough that I decided to try it out. So far I have been able to make a nice looking line across my top lash but haven't been very successful in doing anything more complicated or thicker. I think it is really just a matter of practice than the quality of the brush. The point is very fine and has almost a teardrop shape to it. It would be easy to draw thicker line just by lying the brush more on its side. I expect this brush will last quite a while and it feels like it is very good quality. I'm thinking about picking up a nice angel brush to complete the set and hopefully I can achieve the look I am going for.

I like a nice solid eyeliner effect on my upper lid. Using gel liner, this brush allows me to create from a thin line to a thick line, depending on my mood. And I can achieve the perfect "cat eye" at the outer corners of my eyes for more dramatic effect. This brush is soft, flexible, pointed at the tip, easy to hold and maneuver with, and cleans easily. I just wish the clear pouch in which it stores was a bit more sturdy and sealed closed, because I take the brush with me in my purse for on-the-go touch ups.

This brush was horrible. Too sharp, scratchy and pointy. A q-tip would do a better job and allow you to keep your eye intact.

Great brush! Especially for the price. I was a bit skeptical of getting a fine line with this brush because of other reveiws I have read. I use it with my MAC fluid line and I get a very clean tip. Great purchase and saves money.

I'm really shocked about other reviews on this brush based on it's purpose. I'm an eye liner guru. I've been wearing eye liner for umpteen years so I'm always looking for better brushes to accomplish my look, although I have a ton. This brush DOES NOT work well because of the way the hairs are constructed. It will not give you a smooth thin line across the top of your eye lid, however, if you wear a thick line, this may work for you. If you like it somewhat thin, this will not work because the brush, once coated with the liner, the brush hairs will not flatten. Hard to describe what I'm saying but just know if you are a thin eye liner wearer, get the Bdellium 708, not this 710. It's just too thick.

I have only used my brush once so far. I used it to apply gel eye liner. Of my many eye liner makeup brushes, this one is by far the best. It made winged liner application smooth and easy. I'm glad it's yellow, because I will be able to easily find it amongst my brushes.

Bdellium is a great brand and my kit contains dozens of their brushes but one of the two brushes I received was snapped where the ferrule and the handle met.
