RIDGID 25638 Model 975 2-in-1 Portable Combo Roll Grooving Machine for Manual Use or Power Drive Mount, with 1/2" to 6" Pipe Capacity

This thing works really well if slow. If you try and roll the grooves too fast it squeezes out a sharp metal ring on one side of the groove which you then have to grind off. so it takes about 8 minutes to groove a 2" pipe by hand. We modified the handles so we could mount this in our ridgid 535 threader (they are just pipe anyway). This allowed us to roll the threads on 2" in about 2 minutes which was acceptable for the job we were on. I was very concerned that it wouldnt hold up but had no issues with it at all once we got the depth dialed in. You cant beat the price compared to other groovers available and it performed well on my month long piping installation and will be good for more.

The Groover works excellent. It takes a bit to get it mounted, but it works great and is easy to operate once you have it mounted.

Great tool, it is a Ridgid, what more can I say. The guys in the field all prefer Ridgid over any other brand we have available to buy. Ridgid sets the standard in the piping industry for tools. Overall they are priced high, but will stand the test of time with years of abuse. If you are serious about the tools you are buying and plan to use them a lot then get Ridgid. The best part of this tool is that it can be manually operated in the air to groove existing pipe in place. Excellent for service calls and repairs.

I just finished a job where I was tying in every size except the 1 1/4 I was grooving both schedule 40 and schedule 10 I even had several 5 inch schedule 40 it grooved them all some were rigid and some were flexible victaulic some of the existing pipe especially the 5i inch was slightly deformed from the old threading and grooving process it fit in some fairly tight spaces

Delivered quickly. Worked perfectly for the designed task. Very satisifed.

This groover does not groove 1" to 1/2" pipe as advertised. It also came with a missing part 😕

Practico y simple de usar.

I haven't tried it yet but it's very new and crisp. Some new quick lock details I haven't seen before. Great packaging and delivery not too long. Better than 6 to 7 week wait at local distributors. Only a couple hundred more expensive at Amazon but delivery was included.
