Central Perk

This was my first Briksmax lighting kit and it likely won't be my last. I ordered the Friends Central Perk LEGO set as my wife and I are both fans of Friends and thought it would make an interesting display piece. While shopping to buy the set, I came across the lighting kits and I decided I wanted to give it a shot. My expectations were low, especially with how some of the reviews are less than glowing, but it seemed too cool of an idea to not at least give it a shot, and both my wife and I are blown away by how much better the set looks lit up. For the record, I did install the kit as I built the model. As such, the instructions were out-of-order, since they are designed to walk you through installing them into an already-built model. But the parts the bags are in are clearly marked on the bags and in the instructions, so it was relatively easy to discern which lights and wires went where. That said, these are very small lights with very thin wires, so they can be a little challenging to install properly, but the end results were so much better than what I had hoped. The only area I strayed from the instructions were where I ran the wires through the walls. The instructions have you pop some bricks and then lay the wire over the top of a brick and then snap a brick back down on top of the wire. This creates little gaps where the brick above the wire doe not snap all the way down on the studs of the brick below the wire. I was not thrilled with this, as I was concerned it would affect the stability of the model. After playing around a bit, I found that I could run the wires in the gaps between two side-by-side brick, which then allows each wall brick to snap all the way down onto the studs of the brick below it since the wires are no longer running where the studs are. After seeing how beautiful the Central Perk set looks with the lights, I'll be looking to eventually pick up more light kits for the Friends Apartments and the Seinfeld sets as I have both of those sets waiting their turn to be built. This Briksmax lighting kit turned out to be an absolutely fantastic addition to the LEGO Central Perk set, and really helps to elevate it from a really nice model and into a real eye-catching display piece.

Love the way this lights up Central Perk! The Lego set was first assembled, then the light kit instructions explain how to take it apart to add in the lights. The light strings / wires do not fit perfectly in between the lego bricks, so after inserting the wire kit the bricks come apart easily. Ideally, the lego bricks would be altered to hold the wires. Even with these limitations, I highly recommend the light kit... it just really brings the set to life! So definitely worth it.

This is a must for Central Perk. The wires are so easy to hide and the project just wraps up into a neat compact little model that is so inviting to look at. We have it on a lazy susan on our kitchen table so we can look at it from different angles while we are eating. Yes the wires are delicate, they are made to go in a tiny model. They are not so delicate that they can't be installed (and even have fun). The product is brilliant, executes perfectly and is worth every penny. I'm a 60 year old woman who is loving legos and never touched a wire in my life and I did it :).

I was reluctant to purchase this light kit after reading the reviews of several similar light kits sold, but the reviews for this particular light kit were rated higher than the others. One drawback is that the connections are quite small, but with careful assembly the final results were amazing. It does add to the beauty of Central Perk.

This product really gives life to the original set, it looks like a real coffee shop (Central Perk). The lights are amazing. It takes patience and lots of time to set up because you have to deconstruct some pieces so you can install the lights. I couldn't hide the wires completely in the back of the set but since I place it against a wall they are not perceptible.

In all fairness, I got the kit in August, it is now February and I'm just now getting around to using it. First of all, I didn't get an instruction book with this kit. It did have a QR code I could scan to get the manual in a PDF. I did that, but it brought me to the page where ALL of their lighting kits are, so I still had to hunt for it. I printed it out. It's the manual for LIGHTAILING, not BRIKSMAX. So that was useless. So I pulled up the YouTube video and followed the steps that way. Much harder, as they move so fast and there's not talking. But it's doable. I got everything hooked up and it doesn't work. (I couldn't test it before because with my BRIKSMAX kit, you have to wire everything, then hook each wire into the little circuit board thingies, then connect all of them, THEN hook up the batteries.) I made sure everything is connected securely and I tried different batteries. Nothing. For the record, the LIGHTAILING kit (I used that for another set) is much more user friendly.

This is such an awesome little product! It was pretty easy to install, it only took me around 45 minutes. There were a few steps I got stumped on but I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. It definitely livens up the Central a perk and makes it more enjoyable of a build! I’ve always wanted to get a light kit but never knew where to start and this was definitely the best one to start on. Definitely recommend for anyone interested in purchasing!!

Producto fiable, nivel de colocación medio, pero no es imposible, mucha paciencia , lo tenemos conectado con pilas pero tiene opción de USB(el cable es demasiado corto) pero vamos un producto que hace que tu legó de friends coja vida

Eins vorweg.... Wer wenig Geduld hat, Finger weg. Ich war schon froh, dass mein Sohn beim Zusammenbau im Bett lag 😂. Wer aber gerne bastelt und eine Engelsgeduld hat, sollte auf jeden Fall zugreifen. Als das Set ankam, war ich mehr als angenehm von der tollen Verpackung überrascht. Die Anleitung war extrem schön und detailliert. Wer also meint, er bekäme hier irgendwelchen Chinakrempel....das ist auf gar keinen Fall so. Und ich finde das Ergebnis entschädigt einen für das bißchen Frust beim Bau absolut. Das Kit macht das Lego Set nochmal schöner und sieht in meiner Vitrine bombastisch aus. Ich überlege schon, welches das nächste Projekt wird... Ecto-1? R2D2?..... WALL-E? Mal sehen.... Aber es war sicher nicht das letzte umgebaute Lego-Set

I am so glad I bought this lighting kit for my central perk Lego set. It’s brought to life and now looks so much more interesting and warm now it’s lit up. The lights are so easy to install with minimal disassembly of the Lego set to install them. The price is very reasonable with the deal Amazon have. I wanted the lights since I got the set but I couldn’t justify the price but I got 50% off so I jumped on the buy button. The lights can be run off of three AA batteries or from usb but my only complaint is the usb lead is far too short so I’ll need a long extension so it reaches to the plug socket or run it off a power bank but I’m not a fan of having to charge it up. Overall Well worth it!

Está padrisimo, el resultado final está padrisimo aunque me hubiese gustado que todos los cables quedaran ocultos, se ven por la parte trasera, tendría que haber bloques especiales huecos para pasar los cables por dentro, eso estaria genial. Pero en general me gustó mucho.
