Great Game, Great Expansion and good Amazon service
For anyone who likes board games, miniature games or Sci Fi in general or Star Wars in particular, this is a great, fun, simple game that can be a beer 'n' pretzels affair or deeply tactical if you want it to be.The presentation and build of the models and included card stock pieces is first rate. The packaging protective and re-usable and the delivery I received from Amazon was super speedy. The Shuttle is not speedy, but again adds some nice abilities and characters and the support role it can add to a fleet is quite a lot of fun

Cost Effective Hit Point Reservoir. The Imperial "Tank" ship.
The "Lamb" is an unusual ship with a special niche, one that the imperial fleet desperately needs. The paradigm for the Imperial fleet is to fill up your ranks with glass cannons. Ties and Interceptors, (the meat and potatoes of the imperial navy) have great maneuverability but average weapons and weak hull/shield. The ships with better defensive stats (Advanced and Defenders) are superiority fighters and not terribly cost effective.Enter the Lambda. At first glance, the 3/1/5/5 stat-line looks a little weak for a large-base ship, especially when considering extremely limited maneuverability dial. But consider the point cost. It is only marginally more expensive than say... a B-WING, and has even greater health than that ship. Rather than think of this as the Imperial counterpoint to YT ships (it will get chewed up going toe-to-toe against either the Falcon or the Outrider), try fielding it as a heavy fighter, and pay attention to the pilot and upgrade cards you have available to you. This is a definitely a support ship, meant to draw pain away of other ships in your fleet.Give it a the Heavy Laser Cannon, and it will essentially match one of the common load-outs for the B-wing. (Less the barrel roll ability, but with 2 more hit points). It's also not a coincidence that this ship comes with the Advanced Sensor card and Anti-Pursuit lasers. It's large base and ability to do a FULL STOP (with stress, admittedly) make it the best blocker in the game. Pair that with the ability to pick up your target lock BEFORE you move, and then retaliate against anything that rams you, and you can SERIOUSLY mess up a furball with this ship. No, you can't arc-dodge, joust, or carry ordinance here, but if deployed and escorted properly, you can have a lot of fun with it, and it's point cost is not as prohibitive as the other large ships. Also note- most of the negative reviews on this ship address the wing mobility problem. Those are all over a year old. It appears that there was an issue with an early production run that has been fixed.

Great Addition to my Collection
Cool!I don't play the game...I just like the little spaceships. Soooo, yea, I can't tell you anything about how useful the ship is for the game (very? idk)...However, I DID buy this product, because I've always liked the looks of the Shuttle from Star Wars. Those wings fold up so elegantly for easy storage on a star ship, where anyone will tell you space can be limited (even on those big Star Destroyers). Only thing that has always bothered me about this ship design is that the ramp sits directly behind the cockpit... so how the heck does the pilot exit the ship when the ramp is down? I suppose there could be a narrow walkway he can squeeze through to get to the ramp...still doesn't make any sense. And if you look at the shape of the craft, you can see that its pretty narrow where the ramp is...so whatever walkway he's using to get to the ramp is DEFINITELY narrow.Anyway, I digress. The ship is screen accurate and highly detailed. Surprisingly highly detailed. I probably spent more on it than I should have (considering I'm not playing the game) but it is comparable in price to other tiny spaceship models you buy, so its not too bad.

These game pieces are the best scale models available
So even if you don't play the game... You WILL want the game pieces if you are a Star Wars Fan! These game pieces are the best scale models available... Far ahead of the $7 hot wheels items... This is IMO one of the most elegant SW original ships. Somewhat the 'lexus' of the fleet... Think Space Balls. ;-)

Good utility ship for larger battles.
Doesn't SEEM that great at first, not especially tough, powerful, or manueverable for a large ship, but it works well as a support/utility ship for the rest of your squad. It can use alot of passive abilities and make itself troublesome with its "stand still" manuver since this often causes pursuers to ram into or overshoot the ship. Also the pilot ability of being able to take stress tokens from other ships is phenomenal especially when used with several Tie Interceptors so that they can constantly stay behind enemy ships using u-turns. This will make it a target for your enemy!

Good model, taxi only
The model is actually really great. The peg hole on the bottom side of my model was slightly crooked so my shuttle leans to the right when mounted but that will be an easy fix once I get a few minutes to mess with it. The shuttle is decently stout and has the ability to equip a strong cannon upgrade card but this ship should definitely have a rear facing firing arc, especially to compensate some for its lack of maneuverability. In the current meta, it's strictly a taxi for Emperor Palpatine. All in all, not a bad ship, especially if you're plan is to fly imperial aces with Palpatine. Otherwise, this ship would be completely useless in-game.

Imperial Shuttle miniature for Star Wars X-Wing
A great miniaturel for Star Wars X-Wing. Model come pre-painted and has excellent detail and durability. More than simple a "shuttlecraft" It's 3 Attack is potent, and it's 5 Hull, 5 Shields and many special abilities make this a tough presence on the battlefield!
