I’ve played 5-Minute Dungeon for years and the expansion makes it even better. I love that it adds a sixth player, since people always want to join when they see us playing. It keeps the same chaotic energy but adds more variety and teamwork. Components: Cards match the base game perfectly and the new heroes fit right in. Bright, sturdy, and easy to mix in. Set up time: Fast. A few minutes and it’s ready to go. Ease of teaching: Very easy. One round and everyone’s yelling symbols and abilities like pros. What I find great: It’s loud, fast, and instantly fun. I’ve been asked to lower my voice many times at board-game cafés and libraries, which says everything about the energy it brings. What I like less: Reorganizing the decks after the chaos. Cards go everywhere. I ended up sleeving each deck in its designated color to make sorting faster so we can reset and play again right away.

My kids absolutely love this game and the expansion pack. It was fast to learn and easy to play. And best of all, it ends within 5 minutes of game time (minus pauses to the clock) every time. The expansion pack adds two new character panels (4 total new characters) as well as curses cards to the enemies deck. It's a subtle but fun tweak to the overall game play and adds to the replayability. If you're enjoying the base game, this is certainly worth it.

This game is fantastic and this expansion fixes some minor holes. 5md has been my go to game for my non-gamer friends. I haven't found someone that hasn't liked it! This expansion really adds a lot of elements to the game that enhance both the theme and gameplay. It does make the game harder / slightly more complex, but for players that have already played the game before it really is a must. The curses actually make each boss feel unique. Without the expansion, every boss was just 5 more cards... but now each boss has a flavor of mischief tied to them. We played each round not knowing what curses we'd face which definitely adds to the suspense. New holographic weapon cards look fancy and add a neat party themed ability. The only down side I could find is this expansion does add the possibility for 6 players but the difficulty is way too easy. I wish they scaled it better with more than 4 people. Get this game!

So much fun with the family, addictive to all of us in the family. We finally beat the final dungeon but we had to keep freezing time with 10 doors left and 8 seconds on the clock. Definitely fun, especially for ppl with short attention spans

My family and friends loved playing the original and we purchased the expansion as soon as we found out about it. it adds a few new ideas and the curses are frustratingly fun to add into the game. Would buy again.

Original 5 Minute Dungeon is great and very fun. Unfortunately it gets repetitive and boring after a while. With this expansion, the game comes back to life again. The curses mechanic makes the game fun and unique. The extra character allows you to play with up to 6 players now. The expansion comes with great additions and very interesting character. Overall it is a great addition and a must if you enjoyed the original

Great addition to the starter pack. I bought this as a gift and it’s been used frequently by the family. The younger children (7-8) have a little difficulty but the adults can help them. It is definitely fast paced though!
