Lindsay Sliced Black Ripe Olives, 33 Ounce

We were used to purchasing sliced olives in those little cans at the grocery stores. They sure didn't last long in our house. My wife likes the Lindsay brand - particularly for her Tex-Mex specialties. This large bag of olives should be shipped in a resealable bag because there are quite a lot of olives in the bag. Our workaround is that we put the contents of the bag into a Tupperware container and keep it in the fridge. The olives themselves taste better than the canned variety and they stay fresh in the Tupperware bowl in the refrigerator. If you love sliced olives - you'll love the price savings of buying them in bulk. We thought this bag probably appealed to restaurants more than home consumers but it works great for us.

Longing for black olives while social distancing and surprised to find this big package of lovely olives. Not sure how long they will hold up, but hoping for a few weeks in the frig. If they hold up well, I might switch from cans to these olives.

Buying this big bag of olive slices is so much less expensive than those tiny cans they come in. When I get the bag I put them in 2 quart jars and store in refrigerator. They keep well and are always handy when I need a little or a lot. I will continue to buy them this way. Thanks

These are so great! We go through a bag in about 3 weeks. I know own we use more olives in cooking that the average couple. We put them on tacos, enchiladas, salads, sloppy Joe's, Mexican lasagne, & a whole bunch more. We love the flavor they add to food. We used to use an egg slicer to make the from whole black olives, but these are reasonable enough, we don't need to do that.

I either misread the description or missed the packaging details. You get a huge batch of sliced olives in a bag. The bag is not reclosable. That was a surprise. The olives are now in a Ziploc bag in my refrigerator inside a washed take out plastic container for support. That said, these are great olives. The price is great and the quality is there. Just be aware that you will need to dump the olives into something else when you open the bag. Oh, and it's a lot of olives. Can you ever have too many?

I pour the package into another container. Makes it so easy to grab from the refrigerator to add sliced olives to salads, eggs, main dishes. or just to snack on. They stay fresh and tasty.

These olives are a blessing and a curse! I love not having to buy several cans, but as I was pouring them into a container I found myself grabbing a spoon and eating them like cereal! They were that good and did not have the aluminum taste that some canned olives have. I will definitely order again and hide the cereal spoons!

Lindsey black olives are the only brand name I buy. I use them in macaroni and potato salad. I also put them on pizza, because frozen pizzas never put enough.
