Love the sparkle it adds to my paintings!

As a varnish/top layer, adds a transparent iridescence. Can also be mixed and is more sparkly than an iridescent medium (compared to Liquitex), easier to use and less wasteful than glitter.

Iridescence is from thinly glitter flakes. Must be selective about use.

I didn't have a problem with it drying. I did 2 thin coats and was dry in a day and a half. Very delicate not overwhelming sparkles. I'll buy more.

The photo of this product's effect is totally misleading. I have been restoring a large carved wooden fish and thought iridescence would be perfect to simulate the luminescence of a tarpon's body, but this product is nothing more than a clear sealant with small flakes of glitter in it. I am buffaloed by all the positive reviews, but most talk about shimmer & glitter, not iridescence. Iridescence means showing luminous colors that seem to change when seen from different angles, like the shifting colors of an opal, an oil slick, soap bubbles, even CDs. If that what you're looking for, look somewhere else.

The media could not be loaded. I still like this varnish, but it wasn't what I as expecting. I was expectin to see a high gloss (It is), but i was expecting to see more of an iridescene like you would see in a bubble, more of a fluid look of an opalessence. Instead I think its more of a high gloss with lots of little glitter in it. I love crafting and I have no doubt I'll be using it. It just didn't have the visual effect I thought it would.
