I gave this to a relative as a gift, and ended up reading it after they finished! Funny, nostalgic, and informative! A must read for anyone (especially us gen-xers or older) who grew up in Cleveland's Big Chuck and little John era! Review: Big Fun! - My teen years in Ohio aren't too fondly remembered by me except for the joy I got from watching Big Chuck & Lil' John (and Superhost and Fritz The Night Owl)-- those guys were my oasis of happiness! This book is wonderful; bright, witty, and urbane like the man himself. It's a fun breezy ride through his decades of working first behind the scenes and on into becoming a genuine Ohio TV legend.

A visit with a friend...Big Chuck
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is written with an easygoing style that makes you feel as if your sitting with Chuck in his living room as he reflects on his years as a pioneer in television. The stories that he shares about all of the famous and not-so-famous folk with whom he has worked and played are priceless. The only knock about the book would be that the editor missed several typos here and there, but that doesn't diminish the joy that I got reconnecting with so many memories that I have from growing up with Big Chuck, Ernie Anderson, Hoolie, Little John and all the rest. A must read for anyone else who was influenced by these guys or anyone who has an interest in some of the people and events from the early days of television. THANKS, Chuck, for sharing all of this with us!

The irrefutable king of Cleveland Late Night.
A wonderful memoir from one of Cleveland's most beloved TV personalities. Detailing his entire life and career, the book takes us from his childhood to the end of his career with anecdotes and stories involving him and a slew of personalities, both from Cleveland and Nationwide, and honestly, makes you love the guy even more. Chuck passed just days after I finished the book. I'm sure most Clevelanders, like me, were brokenhearted by his passing. I don't know about you, but I read the entire book hearing him in my head tell the stories I was reading. Thank goodness for youtube, where the skits will live on. Rest easy, Big Chuck. Cleveland loves you.

Chuck gave so much to bringing joy through comedy
As a boy growing up in Cleveland in the 70s, late night horror shows a must for your lads. Big Chuck and Hooligans show always mixed comic skits with low budget horror movies. The memories shared throughout this book brings back much appreciation for all Chuck gave the people of Cleveland.

Thanks, Big Chuck!
It took me less than 30 seconds into this book to start recalling, out loud, all of my favorite Hoolihan & Big Chuck sketches - not to mention singing "Here we go, again...". My wife, who grew up in Pennsylvania and never saw the show, was thinking I "went 'round the bend!" This is a fun book to read - brings back a lot of memories. I'm really glad he wrote this - there is some special stuff here. Couple this with Linn Sheldon's "Barnaby and Me," and you cover a huge block of childhood. The fact that I discovered an autograph on the inside only made this book that much more special.
