During COVID quarantine I decided to make the most of the time and set some serious health and fitness goals for myself, one of them being to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. It’s been hard for me to track my water consumption in the past because I just take drinks here and there out of smaller bottles and it’s a pain to keep track of how much. With this, it’s super simple; fill it up at the star of each day and drain it by the end (preferably before 8pm so I’m not running to the bathroom all night). Besides the fact that it has totally simplified my goal and kept me 100% on track since I’ve had it, the bottle itself is AWESOME!! It looks super cool and chic (I have never gotten compliments on a water bottle before until I got this), ultra light weight (which is great because the water weighs enough all on its own), DOESN’T LEAK (it’s passed the test of getting thrown in the back of my trunk), the water stays colder longer thanks to its own personal little wetsuit, the spout is the PERFECT size for drinking (not too small, not too big) and isn’t made of that gross silicone that I hate on water bottles, the bottles doesn’t taste weird, seems super high quality and well made, and the carry strap might be the best feature in a water bottle that I’ve ever had!! The handle is awesome too, but the strap is just soooooooo convenient! I keep my bottle in the bottom of my fridge door and grabbing the strap is the easiest way to pull it out and carry it around. I really look forward to taking this with me to the gym after quarantine but have already taken it with me to run around the park and just driving around town. I haven’t experienced any issues with the quality of the materials used as others have mentioned, specifically with regard to the cover, but I will update if I do. The only thing to note that isn’t necessarily a con is if you’re too aggressive with your drinking or tip it back too far, you will get splashed in the face by the air hole (which often whistles while I drink as well). Again, it’s not a con because the bottle HAS to have an air hole so the flow will be smooth, but because of where it’s placed, you just have to be careful not to tip it back too far or too fast when drinking. Pro tip: I have also recently discovered Stur water enhancing drops and LOVE to add them to my keg to make drinking this much water a little more enjoyable. All it takes is 2 squirts for the whole jug and it tastes great! In summary, this is water bottle has been the difference between keeping my water goals and not and looking/staying cool doing it! Update #2: well it looks like the bottle I've received was in fact defective. The replacement they sent out came in very quickly and this one works as it should. Air tight seal, the cap has rubber fittings all around and is absolutely leak free no matter how hard I shake it. This is the bottle I expected it to be initially and it really lives up to the name... It's a keg! I usually have to refill my 42oz bottles a few times a day, this definitely keeps me from doing it. The sleeve also helps with condensation if you chose to put I've cubes, which I do. It doesn't keep it cold for 24 hrs but its also not insulated so I didn't expect it to. Very light, great product, even better customer service! Update: Shortly after this review I got a follow up email from the Gym Keg Team and I was reassured that this is most likely a damaged unit. Greg went above and beyond to take care of the issue and even offered to send out a replacement. The level of engagement and accountability is very refreshing to see. Will update again from i receive the new bottle, but seeing a company standing behind it's product deserves some credit. I really liked the look of this bottle and wanted to like it however the bottle came deformed, which looked to be caused by vaccum/cabin pressure. It bent back into shape once I opened it and pushed from the inside, but it left a permanent ding on the bottle (pictured). Now the imperfection alone wouldn't be a deal breaker since I can just dress it up in the sleeve but the bottle leaks aggressively! It's a nice, lightweight bottle and looks good but I would not trust it in my car and certainly not in a gym bag. The sleeve is really nice quality, a couple loose stitches but overall a nice snug fit that's easy to take on and off. I could live with all the issues except for the massive leak. I really wanted to like it.

Update: Not long after this post I received an entire brand new gym keg with sleeve in the mail. Absolutely updated to five stars for that. Haven’t been using the sleeve as much but still love the product. My husband was putting my original in the fridge and dropped it and it exploded. The bottom of the jug popped off BUT I believe that may have been a fluke because it’s sturdy and seems well made. Just wanted to give all aspects of my experience but still it’s a five from me. Had my brand new bottle waiting on me when that happened and have had no further issues. Also I drive with this in my car and it dumps over all the time with NO leakage! Absolutely love the product helping me drink enough water and get my supplements in over the course of the day. Great size seems to be good quality love the handle. However I’m super bummed I’ve only used this three times since I got it Wednesday and the sleeve has already started falling apart and I’ve only put it on the first day, just refilled the second day, then third day I removed and washed and when I put it back on it started shredding apart. Probably only thing holding this back from a 5 star review.

Fijne fles. Ik vul de fles als ik uit bed kom en 's avonds moete deze weer leeg zijn. Maakt wel een beetje piepend geluid als je drinkt, daarom geen vijf sterren. Verder prima.

Great water bottle! New year resolution to drink more water. Good to know how much I am drinking with this bottle. Haven’t reach the quota yet but getting there. Love the neoprene sleeve. Yes it smells like rubber & still does after 2 weeks of using it. Yes! it gurgles when you drink water. It’s not a big issue & it doesn’t bother me at all. Haven’t dropped it yet & have not use it without the neoprene sleeve so I can’t attest to the thickness of the bottle. Bottle is nice even without the sleeve. It has the logo & water levels on it. Bottle can be held by the handle or the strap attached. Not sure how strong the strap is (if the bottle is full). Don’t think it’s easy to clean (hard to reach handle area) if you put other than water. Love it & would purchase again.

J'adore ce bidon, c'est le troisième que j'achète parce que le premier que j'avais sans la protection, je l'ai fait tomber et il s'est cassé. Alors j'en ai acheté un autre pour moi et un autre pour mon mari. Ils sont une merveille, en plus, ils attirent l'attention de tous. Mais dans ce dernier achat il y a 5 mois la capuche de la visière se casse, je ne sais pas si la marque a des housses à vendre car la page ne fonctionne pas pour moi.
