Battery case is well made. The slide switch works well and does not stick when sliding it. Having the wiring in red and black makes for easier wiring. Batteries fit snugly so to make good contact.

Used to replace a broken battery box on a cap-mounted headlamp, and works just fine. I disassembled both new and old, soldered into the new, eliminating the switch, and all is good. The old has a switch on the lamp head itself, making the switch in this box redundant, with space from the removed switch allowing me to secure the wires of the old. Strapped onto the back of a baseball cap's rear adjustment band with Velcro, it's enabled me to revive a years-old 2-AA LED headlamp I've been using for a long time. Quality seems a bit sketchy so far, as it seems rather flimsy. But given that it's sold as a five-pack, I can see me rockin' my headlamp for many years to come. I've been using the first of five boxes for roughly a month of intermittent use, and it's done well so far. 2-AA headlamps seem to have been a rare commodity since Day One, so if you can find a good one, I strongly encourage you to grab it. Mine is lamp only, no varying 'modes' of flashing, no 3-AAA, no other lights. Mostly we must suffer multiple modes and beams, odd batteries, too many batteries, crazy modes of S-O-S and such, just before we can get to a simple light to lead the way. I'm gonna hang on to the simple one I've got for those very reasons. I just want the light.

These came very fast and work fine. Unfortunely, I bought the wrong kind. They were for a toy of my grandson's and found out I really just needed a AA battery holder with only one battery, only 1.5 v. was needed not the two cell holder, 3.0 v that I ordered. I'll keep them and maybe find another use for them. I did like the fact they each had a switch to turn on and off the voltage.

I bought this to power some little lights in my deck umbrella. I removed the solar charger and connected them this unit and works perfect.

A sturdy plastic housing with a positive action switch which locks firmly into position. The housing has a removable switch cover which allows easy access to the wire contacts making replacing the wire, with the wire of your choice and length, easy for anyone with soldering abilities.

Battery Holder is compact, pre wired with switch. Easy to install on your project. I've been using them to add flame lights on antique lanterns. Disassemble a flame bulb, bypass the voltage reducer with two 1.5 batteries and you have a portable flame. Go to "Adam Savage", smart guy.

These are wired in series not in parallel. Guess I should've read reviews because no where in the product page does it specify that. In fact it implies the output voltage is 1.5v, which is what I needed for my project. Other than that these seem reasonably high quality, although they would benefit from a way to actually mount them. Seems like the only option is double sided tape or adhesive and when you do that you lose access to the switch (not that I was planning to use it anyway).

Very happy with these units so far. They seem very good quality and durable. A great item to have if you have alot of mini & specialty lights using batteries I recommend these cases for solid replacement or new DIY projects

A vitage Christmas teddy bear had old batteries left in it for a long time. This product was perfect for the repair. Good quality and lots of wire to work with.

None of them worked with brand new Duracell AA batteries. Tested with volt meter and no voltage across the wires on any of the units. Very disappointing.
