Subtle, soft, a little spicy
It smells like an old paperback. I don't wear it often. I bought it to make my Kindle case smell like a book, and it worked beautifully.

Sweet dusty scent
Bought because Gerard way once said he wore it. It’s nice, a warm somewhat dusty kind of smell. I pair it with a perfume I have called chai eclair for a nice fall combo. Pretty unisex.

Not Bad
This smells a little different than what I expected. I was expecting something a little more warm and woodsy, but smells more like old people and oat meal haha. The smell is strong as first, but subsides and is more gentle and soft after a few minutes. The smell lasts for roughly an hour.

Skeptical at first but ended up loving!
*update — have worn this a few days in a row and absolutely love. 10/10 will purchase again. I ordered the Paperback scent out of pure intrigue and also in hopes that it would smell identical. It’s not horrible but not great either; it’s as if an elderly librarian is using Windex to wash windows.

Great... After a few hours.
I quite like this scent after it's has about three hours to mellow. It's got that sweet vanillin note you want for old paper, a touch of dust, very subtle acrid note for old ink. But when first applied, it's just absolutely overpowering black pepper and nothing else. Eye-watering, like sticking your face directly into a spice bottle and blowing it straight up your nose. That might be a characteristic of the perfume oil, and I do plan to test out the room spray at some point in the future, but I don't think I'll be purchasing the roll-on again.

Hardly any scent and scent smells more musty butter than anything
Bought this for my wife as her main hobby is reading and she loves the smell of a book. I have not given it to her yet and not sure I will. It has the faintest smell ever...like barely there. My nose is a lot more sensitive than my wife's and I doubt she will be able to smell anything. The scent itself to me smells more buttery than anything. Actually it smells kind of like this butter we had one time where, I think I got some good cheese funk on it. The funk grew on the butter and then it smelled a bit like this and tasted like a mix of butter with a blue cheese. Actually as it dries on the paper I put it on it is smelling a bit stronger and reminding me more of that musky butter with maybe a hint of something else. I can't place what the hint is of. I don't know....this paperback fragrance smells like something I want to put on my popcorn.

I was under the impression for some reason that this scent had been retired, but I saw someone post about it on Instagram and clicked buy immediately. I'm a big My Chemical Romance fan and have known this is Gerard Way's signature scent for a while now and was delighted to finally get my hands on it. It smells just like pages when they're still warm, literally hot off the press, and the ink is still setting. It really does invoke that feeling. It smells more chemical in the bottle, but rolls on like a dream with an unexpected subtle sweetness to it.
