Chicken and Rice Formula Dry Dog Food - 8 lb. Bag

We’ve used Purina ONE Chicken and Rice Formula as our dog’s primary dry food for an extended period, and it has been consistently dependable. The kibble size works well for a medium dog, and it’s easy to measure and portion without excessive crumbling or dust at the bottom of the bag. The 16.5 lb. size strikes a practical balance between value and freshness, especially if you don’t want an oversized bag sitting open too long. Our dog transitioned to this formula without any noticeable digestive issues, and her coat condition and energy levels have remained steady while on it. While every dog is different, this has proven to be a stable, everyday food rather than something we have to constantly reevaluate or rotate away from. There are certainly premium and specialty blends available, but for a mainstream dry dog food, this one offers a solid mix of quality, availability, and reasonable pricing. It’s been consistent bag after bag, which is ultimately what I look for in a long-term staple.

Both my dogs have been eating this dry dog food-with the added vits and minerals. They are healthy, playful and have good coats since they were pups and now middle to older ages. I live in a dry climate in summer and some snow in winter. No itching or issues in either season.

We have been on Purina One for our Pointer (medium size dog) for the past 5 years and have had no issues with this brand. Vet approved and dog seems to love the taste! The value for money here is worth subscribe and save and we never have to worry about having dog food at the home because it comes every month. It's nice that you can see the chicken pieces in the dog food. This is a good brand before going luxury dog food. Four stars because sometimes delivery can get delayed.

Dogs love the food

I have a dog that has a very sensitive stomach and this is the only non-prescription dog food that does not cause him digestion issues. It not only has kept his stomach happy, but has also made his coat soft, shiny, and full. He doesn't hesitate to have his breakfast or dinner and enjoys it enough that it can be used in a busy ball outside of meal time. One 16.5 lb bag lasts my 29 lb dog about a month and a half so it is a great deal. I would recommend this dog food to anyone who has a dog with stomach sensitivities.

I have a sheepadoodle with a sensitive stomach. In the past, I've had to jump around to different brands to see how she reacts. This has been the most consistent dry dog food that I've found so far. She loves it enough to where I can actually use some of it as training treats. In my opinion, it also has been the best bang for your buck option on the market without sacrificing quality.
