I've been using the Black Beauties for years, and when it was time to get a new set, my wife suggested I get a whole bunch of colors. I wasn't going to, as I didn't want to buy four sets of strings. I logged in to Amazon to order a set, and lo and behold, the first set that popped up was four different colored strings! They look great and sound great!

i buy DR for alll my bass guitars, i like the way sound, feel and look overall my favorite strings. however with that said this set of strings is by far the ugliest but most affordable set. i like to use these for my back up or alt tuning, regardless still great strings, i got pics of my other strings (green and pink) ,not this set but you get the idea

These are by far the best bass strings I’ve ever used. I love them and will probably never use anything else. They feel so much better than any other strings I’ve ever used.

First, I need to say that these strings weren’t what I was expecting. They are described as color-coated strings which, to me, implies that they’re dyed, painted or anodized or something. NOPE. They’re cloth wrapped. I didn’t expect that. I almost didn’t put them on because I assumed they would sound dead and have no sustain. I was wrong. They sound bright and crispy and have plenty of sustain. I was also fearful that they would break. Nope. Perfectly strong strings. I installed them on my long scale Ibanez bass and they seem as strong and durable as any other string I have put on. I don’t know how people are breaking these strings unless they are putting them on a short scale bass and over tightening them. These are a slightly different size of strings than I normally get so it took a little bit for me to adjust my bass to get the buzz out of the frets. No more fret buzz. Just a little bridge height tweaking was all it took. As it stands right now I would totally buy these again. Installed: 21 January 2019. I’ll update if something happens.

I got these to try and get my kid into guitar. They look good feel good, do expect wear and tear with actual use. But will get again

I wish they would have mentioned that these strings are round wound. I was expecting a smooth coating. If you like round wound bass strings, then these are a good buy because they look fantastic and sound great, but I wasted my money because of an incomplete product description. These strings are rough as a cheese grater, very noisy and tough on the skin if you like to slide your notes.
