Lightweight but sturdy, with a comfortable diameter that feels secure in the hand. Intended for truckers to thump tires? Maybe. Intended by me to keep feisty pups and overly confident geese at a respectful distance? Absolutely. I haven’t tested it on tires, but as a visible deterrent it does the job. The only time I’ve “used” it was a dramatic goose encounter at the duck pond—one little shake and a firm presence, and Mr. Honk backed off his Top Gun audition. Mission accomplished, no contact needed. It feels really good right out of the box. It's oval, and the grooves in the handle are deeper than expected which has a good grip to it. It has a shellac on it that seems like it will hold up. The weight is actually light overall biased towards the end you hit the tire with, making it seem really functional. Unless it breaks in a week, I think it's worth the $14.

Being a commercial driver, It is one of the most important pieces of equipment in my daily routine. The lanyard is very useful and convenient because I can just hook it one my flashlight which is on my belt. It’s out of the way because if I put it down I’ll lose it.

Good tire thumper, good weight, nice sound. I actually use this as a thumper. Been using it for about two weeks now. The finish comes off a little easy but a nice tool to have, I would recommend this UPDATE! one year later and it's still going! I even left this on the back of my tractor, it fell off at 30mph and I saw it through my mirror, I ran it over and it actually broke down the middle, I took a clamp and some glue, and glued it back together. This thing ROCKS! Like I mentioned before a my first review if you get a bad one with a bad knot in it it will break within the first week of used you just simply have them send you another one. I attached a picture of it now. It's beat up but that mean it's been put to good use LOL

Not bad I'm bought these really to carry around in my car and for my son for protection the way this world is getting to be but there sturdy with a nice stain finish clear coat on it I love it and for the price it's cheap
