Strap in, we're going to cover some ground here.
I'm 6'1" and this, coupled with the lowers, and a 9" spoiler shield really creates a nice spot to be in. I'll hit on each here because if you're like me, you probably aren't buying this without at least considering everything else. I wear a Bell Vortex helmet, and the wind clips me right at the forehead, and chimney vents. So I still get a decent amount of airflow through the helmet. Aside from that, it blocks most all the wind. I was shocked by how much easier it was to ride. I had the Kawasaki Cafe Windshield before, which was a big improvement from literally nothing, but this batwing is easily one of the best things I've added to the bike. I've read reviews about getting head buffeting and really needing to buy the lowers. I decided to just do it at the same time and not bother waiting. And so far, I don't get any of the buffeting that I've seen some reviews talk about. There are reviews that talk about how the lowers direct all the wind straight to their legs and they're bothered by this. I don't really get what they're talking about. I haven't noticed any abnormal amounts of wind hitting my legs...I mean, it's a motorcycle... If anything, I feel like they take some of that wind that would otherwise hit my legs and redirects it around me. I'd definitely recommend getting the lowers as well. I honestly had to take more than a minute to decide which way is "up" when I was putting them on, but other than that, it was no problem. Like I said, I also bought the 9" windshield. I'm really happy I went with this size. It moves the wind to just high enough that I still get movement through my top helmet vents. I was initially worried about how it would look. I think my bike looks pretty cool and just the right amount of "aggressive". I was concerned that even that tall of a windshield would make it look doofy. But the whole package works really well together, and the bike still looks good. I also have a Scala Q3 bluetooth set in my helmet. Before I had this shield, it was pretty impossible to talk on it above 35mph because I couldn't hear the caller due to wind noise. That has largely been solved. I still have Bubs Jughugger pipes which are significantly louder than stock. So now I don't have wind-noise to contend with, but those pipes are still decently loud. The point is that if your caller is pretty good about annunciating you'll be able to talk with them at highway speeds OK. Otherwise, keep it below 50 and you're good to talk without any problems. Loud pipes save lives, right?....right?...no?...dang. If you have the triple lights from Kawasaki installed, you will need (or at least should) to unbolt them from the fork to put this on. Once it's on, you can put the lights back, no problem. Kinda takes away from the "quick" part of the trigger-lock system, but it's not really a big deal at all. I've also read people that you really have a second sent of hands to put this on...meh. I did it by myself just fine. I did have one hiccup because I didn't have my mounting brackets exactly inline. But when I realized that, it was a 2-second fix. I'm sure it's helpful to have someone else there just in case. But it's not necessary. Also, I live in CA and do split lanes. This does NOT make it any more difficult to do so. I was a little concerned about it at least "feeling" bigger and making me more uncomfortable while splitting. That's not the case. I can still split and do so pretty confidently. (But seriously, be careful any time you do it) I've received more than a couple compliments on it. A few friends have noted how much bigger it makes the bike look. I hope car drivers also think it makes the bike look bigger. I'm not trying to be a hood ornament. I had budgeted $600 for the whole kit, and by golly it hit at $596. I can't complain about that at all.

Love the way it changed the look of my bike
Love the way it changed the look of my bike. Adapter kit was pricey but the quick release is a great feature and easy install. Now just waiting on windshield, which takes much longer to receive. Has reduced wind pressure should be better when all installed.

Simple to install and looks great!
I mounted this Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing on my Kawasaki Vulcan 900, it was simple to install and looks great! I added the 9" spoiler windshield which makes riding at speeds over 40 much easier for myself & my rider, cutting down on the wind drag for us both.

Super lightweight for such a sturdy attachment
Super lightweight for such a sturdy attachment. Try to order the windscreen and mounting hardware from the same supplier at the same time. This made them all come in the same box so I could put it together as soon as it was delivered. Looks great on my Vulcan 900 and offers excellent wind protection. I put it on with the spoiler 5" windshield and drove it without a helmet and gloves in 40 degree weather just to test it. I am 5'7" and it was like riding in a car with the window down. It looks perfect on the bike. Get a helper when mounting it.

Missing parts
This item is not clear. You have to purchase $250 more worth of assemblies to even mount this to your bike. The seller is zero help, and on our call did not even offer to sell me the parts I need to finish the install.

No hardware included for mounting or attaching the windshield (sold separately).
Easy to install with the quick release mounting kit (sold separately) comes with NO mounting hardware. Also does not include bolts required to connect the windshield (sold separately) to the faring.

No mounting hardware
Good quality but it doesn't come with any mounting hardware or the upper wind screen. For $300 you wouldn't expect to have to spend another $250 just to make it usable.
