LeSportsac Deluxe Everyday Bag

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this bag in March 2013. I have used it as my everyday handbag for about 2.5 years, and it still looks brand new!If you want a bag to help keep you organized, look no further. This bag has several sections, all with zipper closures:-Two separate main compartments-One interior pouch in the front main compartment-One removable pouch-Two small exterior compartments on the front of the bag-One large exterior compartment on the back of the bagThat's seven places to store your stuff! And . . . if you need just a little extra room, you can unzip the zipper on the bottom of the front main compartment to expand the bag. That gives you even more room for even more stuff! (Though, I prefer the look of the bag in its condensed mode and have never used the "expansion pack." :))The bag itself is made of nylon, and consequently, it is lightweight. I actually purchased this bag because my traditional faux leather purse was a burden on my shoulder. It was heavy, even without any contents. This LeSportsac bag was a refreshing change. When completely empty, the bag weighs approximately 12.5 ounces. So, the bag really is only as heavy as you want it to be. Although, if you find the bag to be too heavy on your shoulder after a long day of shopping, simply adjust the strap and wear it as a crossbody bag.The tag inside my bag indicates you can wash it by hand in cold water and then hang it to dry. However, it warns that fading may occur during washing. It also states you should not iron the bag or use bleach or detergent. I have never attempted to wash my bag, but I did have a very unfortunate incident shortly after purchasing it. You don't need all of the details, but let's just say a piece of a peanut butter cup melted onto the exterior of my bag. I spot-cleaned the area with excellent results. As previously mentioned, my bag still looks brand new. (With the exception of that peanut butter cup, I actually do take very good care of my belongings. :))The main disadvantage of this bag is that it's pretty casual and might not be appropriate for all occasions. It's a very well-branded bag. "LeSportsac" is printed on all of the zipper pulls and in succession on the strap and on the trim on the front and back of the bag. I purchased my bag in black to use as an everyday handbag, and as an added bonus, the LeSportsac branding isn't quite as visible on the black version as it is on other prints.This has been a durable bag for me, and I have not had any issues with it. It makes a great organizational bag for daily use, and it is perfect for travel. I think you'll tire of the bag before the bag wears out on you. When that happens, simply remove your belongings and collapse the bag for easy storage.

Let me start by saying that I do love this bag. It fits way more than I expected. Before this, I was using a Michael Kors bag as an everyday bag, that was SUPER heavy (even when empty) and is twice the size of this bag. It was so heavy that my shoulder started hurting and I decided I needed something much lighter. I did some research on everyday bags and was between this one & the lug crossbody bag. I originally ordered the lug bag because it was prettier, but USPS lost it & I never received it. I didn't want to go through that again, so I ordered this one. It fits way more than I expected! It fits more than an MK bag that is twice it's size, and weighs much less. It is very comfortable. The strap is perfect for crossbody wear. It has a good amount of compartments. Everything zips closed, so you don't have to worry about things falling out. I love being able to just unzip something quickly and have easy access to what I need, with one hand, and not having to dig through everything in my purse or show everyone everything in my purse. Now, as much as I love this purse, there are some negatives and a lot of room for improvement.1) I got the all black bag, and the inside is all black as well. It would be nice if the inside color was lighter so that you could see what's in the bag and find things easier. I have a black coach bag with a pink inside, and I LOVE that because you can always find things. It would be nice if they had an option like that for this bag. It also makes it look cuter.2) This is not the prettiest bag. I tend to wear a lot of yoga clothes or sweat suits on the weekends, so I can get away with it when I'm running errands. But, it's definitely not a bag you can wear when you are dressing up or are even somewhere in between. It is an extremely casual purse. I would never wear it with a summer dress or anything like that. Which means I still need to buy a second, everyday purse, that is a little nicer for nicer clothes.3) The pockets are very deep with no compartments. I like to carry pens, notepads, lotion, lipgloss, chapstick, etc in my purse. Since the pockets are so deep, mixed with the black lining, it can be hard to find things sometimes. The pens do not stand, so you have to dig for them. Same thing with all of the other items I mentioned. Even in the smallest front pocket, they will not stand and you will have to dig for them.

I have bought LeSportsac bags since way back when and this is my latest purchase. My previous one, which lasted for almost ten years, just had the zipper break so it had to retire. The "Nature Lover" print on it was one of my all-time favorites but is no longer available or I would have bought it again. However, when I spotted this one, "Aquarius", it had a retro, tie-dye look which instantly appealed to me. LeSportsac bags are the best in that they start out almost weightless so the bag does not add extra weight to the contents...and this Everyday Bag does hold a lot if you so choose to stuff it. It even has a zipper that you can unzip and make the bag wider for those times you buy some unexpected things and need to fit them in. Also, it has two zip pockets on the front, one on the back and two interior zip sections. I always make the adjustable strap long and wear it as a cross body bag. Another thing I like on this particular bag is that the interior is a light turquoise color which makes it easy to find something inside. My last bag had a dark interior and things are hard to find that may fall to the bottom. They are well made and last and last even with daily use for years. This is a great, as they say "everyday" bag. I highly recommend them.

I have been using LeSportsacs everyday bags for some years and for me it is the perfect everyday handbag. Copious, light and smart enough for any place. Lots of zip pockets and an adjustable shoulder strap. One of the zips has gone on my old one so I ordered a new black starry glitter one ("Superstar"). It has just arrived and it is so gorgeous I have just ordered a second one - to store as a replacement for when the new one gets too old!

As much as I try to find a slightly more dressy bag by another brand that still has the same functionality, I can not. I have agonized over beautiful Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Coach but in the end they are all heavy, bulky, wrongly-proportioned, and lack the convenient zippered sections and convertible shoulder-to-crossbody design of my beloved le sportsacs. Yes they are a bit on the casual-looking side for my liking, and I wish this bag would come with gold hardware and maybe just a tiny bling.... But I always come back to replacing my Le Sportsac with just a new color of another... you guessed it... Le Sportsac. This particular one, the Deluxe Everyday model, is perfection. I have a beige one for summer and this is my second black one (the other is a different fabric) for winter. I use it shoulder style for work, but sometimes I lengthen the strap and wear it crossbody when I am carrying lots of other heavy bags (e.g. bending to pull groceries out of the trunk). I pack this little guy full! In the front zips I have my iPhone 6 in one pocket, my work security pass in the other, then inside the front half it fits my large wallet, small makeup case (lipstick, shadow compact, mascara, eyeliner, 2 shadow brushes), a pack of gum, a large bunch of keys, hairbands, etc. In the back half there is tons of room for my sunglasses, a pack of kleenex, my apple container of earphones, a spare charging cord, spare napkins for coffee spills, and another makeup case that holds my foundation, blush, blusher brush and a foundation sponge. I could even fit more if I wanted to, for example the occasional time I pack a hairbrush or a work document. On top of it all this thing is so light and it has taken a beating of slushy Toronto winters, icky subway rides, muddy walks in the dog park and washes beautifully by hand or in the gentle cycle. I always nag my friends to consider Le Sportsac although they snub their nose at it looking casual. Which I agree, the only thing I wish they did was bling them up a little. But honestly, you will love this purse.

I wish I had purchased this bag years ago! I've purchased various purses (Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Kooba, etc.) and could never find a lightweight purse that could hold all of my stuff - I'm a mother of two boys - until now. Not only can this bag hold everything, but it is awesome for organizing: two separate main zippered compartments - one of which can be unzipped around the bottom of the purse to increase capacity, one back zippered compartment, one inside compartment (inside the front main compartment), and two front zippered pockets. It is so lightweight and I love the adjustable strap so that I can wear it across-the-body style. My shoulders don't ache anymore, even when my bag is full! There are so many interesting designs available and I can't wait to try some different ones.

I purchased this bag a couple of years ago on Amazon, and it was the same Lesportsac bag I loved beause I had another before that. It is now May 2021 and I went to purchase it again and the strap has no Lesportsac logo on it...just plain canvas like on a grocery tote bag and the adjuster and fasterners for the new plain shoulder strap are all black plastic instead of the cool silver metal. Adjusting the length is not as smooth as before. What a disappointment. I have reqquested a refund. If they want to make these kinds of changes, they should lower the price accordingly to match. The bag itself looks the same, but the shoulder strap before was so cool. What ashame.

This is my fourth "Deluxe Everyday Bag". I have purchased each one in a different color, different pattern for the last many years. I use it for travelling. The zippered compartments are practical, great sizes, and secure. I use all of them and I can very easily access my contents. The handbag is light weight, which is a must have for me. I have chronic shoulder pain, and this handbag is very comfortable to wear. Having used this style for so many years, it is quick for me to pack for my trips. The wide adjustable shoulder strap is very comfortable, does not dig into my shoulders. For safety and comfort, I wear it cross body. The fabric, style, zippers, and quality continue to be excellent quality, with great improvement over the years. For example, they changed the hardware on the strap from plastic to metal! The "Deluxe Everyday Bag" is definitely a travel essential, and I hope LeSportsac continues to make them available forever! I highly recommend this handbag.
