Great machine and customer service!
Incredible customer service! Great machine! I bought my MiaMat used but in good condition. (The machine was perfect, the box was beat up) the only thing was the power cord was missing. I sent an email that evening and I'm the morning found Erik had already replied. He asked for my order number and address, and promptly mailed out a replacement cord. He was super friendly, super helpful and so very responsive. We exchanged a few emails over the course of time from my initial email until the cord arrived, (which was within a couple of days) I couldn't ask for better customer service. I've only used my MiaMat once so far, but it did a great job making soy milk. It was so easy and came out great. Clean up was a breeze. So much easier and better tasting than the stove top, blender method. The strainer did a good job of getting most of the fiber strained out, but not quite all. Next time I will run double strain with a nut bag after the provided strainer. Noise level wasn't bad, less noise than my Vitamix for sure! I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to trying other options. It did come with a recipe book and a card to direct me to a Facebook group which offers great tips on use. I highly recommend the MiaMat for quality, ease of use and great customer service!

an easy, healthy, and cost effective way to provide your family with yummy, non dairy milk
I have never purchased anything used off of amazon but for a 40$ savings, I thought I’d give it a shot. I’m glad I did because this thing works like a dream. I’m sick of spending 7.50$ for a 1/2 gal of organic milk. Plus,,,going into town is a 30 mile trip. I’ve tried several different kinds of nuts and even some softly cooked rice,,,and it all tastes very good. If you just use soaked nuts, the cycle only takes 12 minutes. If you use grained, like oats & rice etc, the cycle will take about 35 minutes. There’s only two of us enjoying this but, if you have a family, this is the way to go. Clean up is easy and the unit itself is pretty light. Why didn’t I do this years ago!!!

Great quality nut milk maker
I'm fairly new to nut milk making. About two years in. I wanted to try making my own nut milk because I have to have soy or anything but cows milk. I got the Kidisle for my first soy maker, good price for a beginner. I used it 2-3 times a week for almost 2 years. Then it died. Looking for a new and improved nut milk maker I narrowed the choices down to 3 brands highest to lowest cost, all with great reviews. Much like Goldie Locks I decided on the middle price range. The MioMat Nut Milk Maker. Unpackaged today, crazy good packaging btw. It's solidly built and really good quality. Super cute with the floral design. The recipe/instruction book included. The book suggested soaking the soybeans which I did right away. Several hours later a followed the recipe in the book and instructions for cleaning the unit right away (actually good advice). After 30 mins and minimal noise, btw, i had really smooth and creamy soy milk. It worked well and preformed as indicated in the description. A touch of honey and I'm all set. Pure soy milk with no additives or ingredients I don't need. Also in the recipe/instruction book they provided customer service info. Brilliant. I am very please with this purchase. Worth every penny.

Love it. Makes great, smooth soymilk with no overflow
I have bought and returned quite a few soy milk machines over the years. I got a good one with excellent self cleaning several years ago that has been discontinued. But, it took up too much counter space so thought I'd try again. After buying a few cheaper machines that did not perform as advertised, and then cleaning up soy-plosions all over my kitchen counters, cupboards, floors, and appliances, I gave in and got the MioMat. I am pleased to say it was worth the money and I am satisfied with the performance. Operation is super simple, it's remarkably quiet, grinds the beans very finely, and produces an overall excellent product - even better than my old workhorse machine. The recipe book is full of interesting ideas. Overall, I highly recommend this machine. I am docking one star for a few reasons. 1. The included filter screen is far too small to be useful. 2. The machine needs an improved cleaning cycle (it's basically pointless). 3. It needs a countdown timer display. I will say, cleanup isn't hard if you do it right away. And, 4. At this price point, especially, the manufacturer should include a cleaning brush. All the other machines I have purchased have included one. Here's a tip for better tasting, less "beany" flavored soymilk: Before using the MioMat, add dried soybeans to about one liter of already boiling water, then boil for five minutes. Turn off heat and let beans soak in the hot water for an hour. The heat deactivates the beany-tasting enzyme and improves the flavor noticeably. I also add about 1/8 - 1/4 tsp baking soda to the boiling water because alkaline water also seems to improve the smell and taste. (But just boiling helps a lot.) Then drain, and add the hot soaked beans and fresh water to the MioMat. Whatever you do, don't soak your beans in cold water as that does the exact opposite and activates the smelly enzyme. I have made soymilk for years directly from unsoaked dried soybeans and it was definitely palatable. But if a bit of beany-ness bothers you, try the boiling method.

Needs MUCH improvement!!!
This is an OK start but it needs MUCH improvement. You cannot make any soup or milk or porage or any other preparation that is less than 1.3 liter, the machine will not work. So if you are only using this for one or two people it's a waste as it produces way too much left over. Once you get the machine started to make milk or soup, there is NO option to pause and open the lid and check on the consistency and progress which is needed especially for soups. This is a disappointing omission. The machine is quite noisy and unstable. For ALL nut milk the strainer provide is absolutely inadequate, it lets too much pulp pass through and you literally have to strain the milk at least 6-7 times to get rid of the pulp. It's honestly completely useless. We have a cloth strain which we bought separately which properly separates the nut pulp and we only have to strain it once. Also the measurements for the cook book provided are COMPLETELY OFF!!! We've had to adapt every single soup and milk recipes. The amount of nuts indicated to make nut milk which require at minimum adding 1.1 L of water, makes at best watery and tasteless nut milk, you have to double the nut quantity for that much water. And again if you add less than 1.1 L of water the machine simply will NOT turn on. And don't follow the follow the soup recipes of you want creamy soups, the ratio vegetables to water to be added results in watery brothy soups. In order to make creamy soups you have to increase the vegetable content by at least 1.5 times what is indicated in the cook book, the down side to that is that it makes a huge batch, way too much for 1-2 people. Had I known all these defects before I would not have bought the MioMat and rather purchased another brand. The one positive is that it's easy to use and clean but overall it's disappointing in terms of function.

Great soy milk maker
Great soy milk maker (+ other functions). The soy milk comes out smooth, without a beany taste, only takes 30 min or so. You can leave it in longer and it will continue to slowly simmer the milk and stir it occasionally to prevent the soy skin from forming. The taste improves if you let it simmer for a while. Operates fairly quietly, much quieter than a Vitamix. Simple design. Family-owned. They provide an awesome recipe book and online groups. Highly recommended.

This machine has been flawless, making truly great nut milk and soups. I don't regret buying the Miomat. You won't either.
